If we’re not friends outside of Balloons & More, we would like you to meet the newest member of the Musgrove clan! Welcome our sweet little Pumpkin!!

We adopted Pumpkin from the Pratt Area Humane Society and we want to offer a special treat to all of Pumpkins shelter friends.

Adding a furry member to your family is exciting and nerve racking no matter how many times you have done it. We would like to offer FREE engraved dog tags (cats too) for anyone adopted from the Pratt Area Humane Society.

This is our first time adopting and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Knowing the love, compassion and care that our Pumkin received during her stay does not go unnoticed! It takes a special kind of person to dedicate their lives to those who don’t have a voice for their own.

HELLO: MY NAME IS MACKENZIE MUSGROVE! For those of you who are new, those of you who made the transition, and those of you I haven’t met yet, I am the face behind everything happening at BALLOONS & MORE. I am 30 years old, born and raised in Pratt County where I graduated from Skyline. I got my cosmetology license right after high school and moved to Texas. After moving to Texas life changed drastically for me. I got my instructors license in cosmetology got married and found out we were having a little girl. A month before Cass arrived we made the move to New Mexico where my then husband was from. After moving to New Mexico and having little to no help with our daughter and spending every penny of my paycheck to watch someone else raise my daughter in daycare I decided it was time to figure something else out. So I started picking up pieces here and there starting on curb finds and anything FREE on marketplace! After a few flips, and realizing how important it is to have a support system when raising your babies we made the move back to Kansas. After we got here Ms. Karen Hampton at Market 54 on Main gave me my big break! She taught me the wonderful products of Dixie Belle and more than a few secrets to the trade (for her I will always be thankful) I watched her conduct her business as a friend first and an employer second. During my time at Market 54 on Main I hit my lowest of lows when I went through my divorce and had my fourth miscarriage. Starting over with nothing but our clothes and what I was told was the ugliest yellow velvet chair my daughter and I made a home in Sawyer. I worked on myself daily to the point of a healthy coparenting relationship with my daughters dad and painting was my biggest outlet. All the while growing my faith and my furniture stock pile! Minding my own business one day, this guy that I remember from high school shot his shot on Facebook one night and the next day we met for dinner. I had myself convinced that it was a joke and there was no way he was going to show up! But he did! And he still does to this day! We welcomed our second daughter and got married. Followed by buying Balloons & More. I continue growing, and doing it with my best friend has been life altering. With his faith in me, and our faith in God there is nothing we cannot do! A little Before and After! Anyone have an old entertainment center you wish you would have kept?

This now entry bench started as an old outdated entertainment center that wouldn’t even hold a TV anymore. After a quick nip and tuck, a little bit of Dixie Mud and a fresh coat of Dixie Belle Silk Anchor this beautiful bench has been brought to a new life!

I love the feeling you get when you’re able to connect with a client over something you not only love, but something you dedicate your time to. Seeing them so excited and seeing your vision become a part of this is hands down the most rewarding part of this job.

Picked and flipped, all in a days time!

I found this sweet piece at a garage sale this morning and couldn’t leave without it. This was a sewing table in another life. But with many years of use (and newer sewing machines) the hinges were left broken and missing and it no longer served the same purpose. I removed the middle base after I’d made a much more complicated plan to remove, cut, and fill with a new piece and my dad told me I was doing too much! (Thank goodness he did!!)

I ended up make the perfect little accent piece for almost any home!
