Living on the Chesapeake Bay never gets old to me. Maryland makes the most beautiful backdrop a photographer could ask for.
This little fella was an absolute dream to capture. There’s no better motivation to edit than looking at such a darling smile, photo after photo. ☀️

Hello! We are Mill Run Photography! A husband and wife photography team based in Southern Maryland.
My name is Brianna, and my husband Ryan and I became friends (and eventually fell in love) through our high school photography class. After years of being our family’s personal photographers, we decided to establish Mill Run and fully pursue our passion. We specialize in wedding, family, and branding photography. My biggest wedding planning tip: give yourselves time to have a moment alone.

Weddings are so full of excitement and activity. There will be a million loved ones that want to congratulate you and celebrate your love. But, that may end up leaving you with the realization you barely even spoke to your partner all day.
I love seeing our couples give themselves a sweethearts table, discussing the day while they chow down. Another great idea if you’re changing for your reception, go off together to get ready. Give yourselves even 15 minutes of uninterrupted time to just soak in this new chapter of life with each other.
The two of us? When we got married we drove straight to the honeymoon that night. We spent hours in the car opening envelopes, and buzzing about the day and our future. I still say it was by far my favorite moment from my wedding day. ♥️

Something I love trying to capture at most of our shoots are hands. Hands tell such a story on their own. They have always been an important part of visual art history. From cave paintings, to the hand tracings your preschooler brings home. They symbolize the things we create, the marriages that bond us, the work we’ve done to get where we are. Sprinkling those shots in throughout a gallery is my favorite way to pay homage to one of our oldest and most constant forms in art. ✌🏽
