This Sunday, internationally acclaimed cellist Colin Carr works with talented Princeton University students in a free workshop, sponsored by the Donna Weng Friedman ’80 Masterclass Series. A concert will be held after the masterclass with Colin Carr, presenting Franz Schubert’s Sonata per violoncello e pianoforte D 821 “Arpeggione,” Benjamin Britten’s Suite no.3 op 87 for solo cello, and Sergei Rachmaninoff encore for cello and piano, with pianist Donna Weng Friedman ’80.

Donna Weng Friedman's Five Composers and a Pianist tomorrow morning at Steinway Hall, NYC, 10:30am, presented by New York Women Composers as part of Steinway & Sons Educational Partners program. Featuring music by Beata Moon, Stefania de Kenessey, Julie Mandel, Niloufar Nourbakhsh and Kim Sherman, there will be a panel discussion after the concert led by Jed Distler, Steinway Artist and host of the radio show Between the Keys. Admission is free, registration necessary.

Created with Steinway Teacher & Educational Partners in mind, this concert features gorgeous music composed by Beata Moon, Julie Mandel, Kim D. Sherman, Niloufar Nourbakhsh and Stefania de Kenessey, with poem recited by Diana Solomon-Glover.
