While the decision was not an easy one, there are just too many unknowns for having the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show as usual.
And so, we are now reimagining how we can all be together on July 11, how we can celebrate the art and beauty of quilting, and how we can show off your gorgeous quilts.
We are going virtual for SOQS 2020 and will be releasing details over the next few weeks. We ask for your patience , your flexibility and your involvement. And most of all your support. We may not be able to say hello face to face in July, but we are still going to welcome you to our neighborhood!

For most of us, EVERY day is National Quilting Day, but today is the "official" day to celebrate. A bit of history:

"In 1989, the Kentucky Heritage Quilt Society organized a "Quilters' Day Out" on the third Saturday of March to celebrate the rich tradition of quilt making in Kentucky. In 1991, the NQA officers were so enthused with the concept and success of "Quilters' Day Out" that they voted to take it to a national level.

The first National Quilting Day was observed in 1992 and since then it has grown into a global celebration for all quiltmakers and quilt lovers. As our feelings of a community network has evolved to include a world community, it is only appropriate that quilters and quilt lovers everywhere united to give recognition to the special art form."

Quilt Show entries were received today and will be accepted again tomorrow, Thurs June 23, from 9 AM to 1 PM at the Prineville Community Church on Elm street (next to the firefighters monument.)

June 25 — COUNTRY QUILT SHOW of PRINEVILLE ~~ 2011 Theme “Round-Up of Stars” ~~ door prizes, raffle quilt, demonstrations, and Quilts, Quilts Quilts galore!!!

Admission $2.00 - Kids 11 and under FREE
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Crooked River Elementary School Gym, on FAIRVIEW (across from Chase bank) Follow the parade and you'll be there!

Enter quilts on Wed June 22 and Thurs June 23 at the Prineville Community Church on Elm street, next to the Firefighters monument. Best of Theme award and Viewers' Choice Award given at end of show.
