When couples first receive their Welcome Packet, along with an email that headlines "Welcome to the Beckerman Events family!", I wholeheartedly mean this.

Every action taken during the planning process is to support my couples, from removing the stress of attempting to manage multiple vendors to the final "fluff" before a bride enters the first look - I will always have their back. (Sometimes quite literally 😂)

Bourne Farm is stunning and allows ample room for creativity, but with that can bring on an overload of details for the couple.

Leading up to the big day to assure every detail is not only covered, but strategically thought-out, Jonathan, Shannon and I had weekly check-ins. Sometimes they were 3 minutes, other times it was for 40 minutes to go over items such as, every potential floorplan option (when you have multiple food trucks, a 150p tent, and acres of land to work with, there are a lot of options to consider!).

Shannon and Jonathan are just flat out amazing people, and they compliment each other so well. They deserved the wedding of their dreams. The wedding weekend not only happened without a single glitch, but the weather could not have been any better too.

Where do I begin? D+R are the absolute best, and I soon found out how amazing their family is too (funny how that works right?).

From the moment of our first meeting over wine and antipasto, we clicked, and it was a seamless planning process from there!

On the morning of the wedding, I walked into to the bridal suite, followed by a hug, a gift bag, and a big “happy anniversary!” from D. D+R and I now share the same wedding anniversary date! Later on, I opened the gift to find a customized Beckerman & Co flowerpot and the most thoughtful thank you note. (D runs her own Etsy shop .boutique) I instantly broke into tears. Who during one of the busiest periods of their life, remembers my anniversary and takes the time to create this gift? The entire series of events was such a strong reminder of why I love my job and how grateful I am for every couple.

Moving on from my sappiness, for now, it was amazing to see D’s vision, paired with her strong craft skills, and the brilliant work of , come to life! The wedding was nothing short of stunning!

Let's talk about detail shots. What do you include?

Throughout the planning process create a "detail shots" tote bag and slowly gather meaningful items that you want to make sure are captured.

Here is what to include:
1: Invitation suite (save the dates, engagement party invitation etc.)
2: Wedding rings/bands and ring box
3: Wedding day jewelry
4: Vow booklet

Optional items that will enhance the shots:
1: Loose florals
2: A family heirloom
3: Personalized item from welcome bags
4: Wedding day perfume
5: A flower stem from the bouquet you received when proposed to (dried out stem at this point, haha!)
6: Clipping of a family member's dress or veil
7: Your wedding night party shoes
8: An item that represents the location of your wedding, engagement or somewhere that is meaningful to you and your partner

Here are four tasks that sound like no brainers, but can easily be forgotten during the final 30 days leading to your big day.

Quality vendors should reach out to you first regarding a check in call, but if you do not hear from them, make sure to reach out. Following the call you may have a few tasks handed off to you, such as completing a wedding day form for your photographer, and a DJ will request a "must play" and "do not play" list.

When ordering rentals think about the tones of the floor and metal colors incorporated throughout the space. This extra thought-process will make an incredible difference to the final design. Not only creating a breathtaking environment for your guest, but it will take your photos to the next level!

Here at Beckerman Events we love building vision boards for you and brainstorming endless design possibilities (no exaggeration, we literally love this part of the wedding planning process).

Below are some questions to ask when ordering rentals for a ceremony:
1) Well, of course check with your venue first to see if you like what is included with your rental fee.
2) What color metals are built into the chandeliers or fireplace (gold, silver, chrome) and how will they blend with what I want to order?
3) Are the floors a warm or cool tone? Your chairs do not need to be the same exact color as your floor, BUT keep within the same color temperature.
4) Is this a chance to allow your secondary color to shine? Navy blue may not compliment the reception space, but does it have a chance to "take on the main role" throughout the ceremony? How would navy lanterns or navy chiffon hoods look?

It is important when building your shot list for the photographer that you also communicate your expectations for the detail shots. Share photo examples that you LOVE and what you DO NOT want. Clear communication is crucial, so you receive the final product you want!

Wedding tip: When ordering your save the dates and invitations always add an additional 10-15 prints. You may end up adding additional guests to your invite list, invitations can get lost in the mail, and you are going to want to give 1-2 to your photographer for the wedding day detail shots!

Adding an additional 10 to your large order will not dramatically increase the total cost, but if you order 10-15 separately in a small batch, the price per print is likely going to double.
