A weekly Open Mic and Variety Jam, hosted by Ron Morrison, Daniel Markus, Chris Trujillo & The Riverside Bar in Pueblo, Colorado. Providing an interesting variety of musical entertainment for the listener while providing a venue for musicians to meet mingle and jam with some of Southern Colorado’s finest talent. Share your own talent in a solo format, jam with professional live accompaniment or br
ing your own band/group. We go by our sign-up board and it will be followed unless something else is worked out with the people already on the board. The only exception is if you play something that can be worked to someone else’s set easily. We have a 4, 45 minute set format and will fit as many acts as we can into a set depending on the amount of names on the list. The band will usually play the first set (45 minutes) and then we will begin to call people up to the stage after a break. The first set will be cut short when we get a lot of names on the list early. Your time on the stage will be determined by your talent, audience response and/or how many names are on the list. We will make that decision and will be as gentle as humanly possible about cutting a set short. However, if you would like to complain or throw a fit about not getting enough time on the stage after being told nicely that your set is over, please feel free to call your mom! We provide drums, bass amp, guitar amp (please bring your own pedal board), stage lighting, P.A., mics and a professional sound-man. We Do-Not provide guitars, cables, tuners, pics, guitar straps, batteries, baby sitting or ego worship. Time is limited between acts, so we will decide what you are allowed to set up (gear wise) in the respect of time and other performers. If you bring your instrument/instruments, amp and pedal-board, you’re pretty safe. If you bring and entire recording studio, you might not get to play
Bands are welcome, if you have keyboards and more than four members, we might ask you to change positions on the signup board and set up during a break. If we know a song, you can sing it, if not; we will NOT put on backing tracks for you to sing to. The Riverside has Karoake on Tuesday and Friday nights. Please come on those nights if that is what you’re looking for. Our primary goal is to have fun, celebrate and showcase all styles of live music and the people who appreciate and/or provide it professionally in our community and beyond! We absolutely do not tolerate aggression and or violence in any way, shape or form. If you get out of line, we will ask you to leave first, call the cops if that doesn’t work and if need be, we will defend ourselves. Just remember, you will be surrounded by our friends and starting trouble in our house is a very bad idea!
