It finally hit below 50 degrees in Raleigh today and the weather is stunning! As much as I love the cold, I think I’m partial to the color schemes that are typical of warmer weather! Go on and kiss the girl 🎶

This shoot was inspired by the infamous “Kiss the Girl” scene in The Little Mermaid. It somehow became a myriad of Disney Princesses. From the red hair of Ariel, to the Blue dress of Cinderella, but honestly? Who cares to stick to one specific thing while theming? That’s the beauty of an event. Taking things back to when I first launched my company a few months ago! Huge s/o to Rachael for being here since the beginning! She’s truly my favorite y’all.

There has been so much growth since I first launched. I have gotten to meet wonderful vendors, get my name out there, meet clientele and have started to really establish myself!

Here’s to the next few months of growth! Excited to see where i’ll be this time next year.

It’s all in the details ✨

What a stunning invitation suite in beautiful fall colors. In the age of technology we are straying further and further away from sending out physical wedding invitations and details, but I do have to say, they’re always some of my favorite photographs when a couple receives their wedding gallery. You can opt to send out a few physical suites and send the rest digitally, or have one made just for your photographer to take pictures of along with other details such as your rings, wedding day scent, and your shoes!

It’s a beautiful Sunday to Elope! is the perfect place to host a private and intimate elopement ceremony with your partner!

I have followers of all beliefs and creeds, but this venue is especially great if you want a more religion based ceremony for those that have Christian beliefs! That stained glass is an absolutely stunning touch.

Who doesn’t love a good drink on Friday after a long week? There’s tons of ways to incorporate drinks into your wedding! Would you have a tap truck? It’s a great and efficient way to incorporate any kind of drink to your wedding without the requirement of having your bartenders take a bunch of different orders! Have yourself a set menu, and offer those drinks at your wedding! Easy and saves time & money! You can even have hot beverages for those chilly fall nights!

You HAVE to stop and take a look at these absolutely stunning photos from Tuesday at The Little Chapel in Winston Salem. It was the first big styled shoot that I planned and designed with Rachael as my lead photographer and I could absolutely die over how stunning some of the pictures came out!

The vendors that were there were such a dream to work with and I cannot wait to share the entire team with y’all!

Yesterday was definitely one for the books! We completed the first big shoot Noir et Blanc has planned and y’all! The photos are going to be EPIC! A beautiful venue, 1 planner and designer, 7 photographers, 2 themes, 2 couples, and a WHOLE bunch of wonderful vendors came together to make something absolutely gorgeous! I cannot wait to share! Welcome Everyone!

My name is Nashara Turrentine and I would love to formerly introduce myself as the owner and brains behind the company known as Noir et Blanc Weddings & Events!

I am overjoyed to be able to finally spotlight this page because I have put so much hard work into getting to this point!

It has been my dream to launch this company for so many years, and I could not have done it without the support system and mentorship I have receieved from countless, wonderful members of the wedding industry.

The technicals of me:

• I am 23 years old and a proud April Aries ( Does anyone else love astrology? )

• I was born in Washington, DC but raised in Durham, NC ( The real 919! ) A little bit of North & South!

• I just graduated from East Carolina University this past Spring, where I received a BS in Hospitality Management & Business Administration. This degree is near and dear to me because the hospitality program catapulted me to where I am today! My other degree is a BA in Sociology because I love people, diversity, inclusion, and equity! Sociology offered an incredible opportunity for me to morph as a person, and to understand others, because we live in a world that requires the discomfort and the eruption of our own ignorance in order to progress.

• My enneagram type is 3, which means I am considered ambitious, efficient, adaptable, and results driven. I would love to believe these are all qualities that are required to plan fantastic events!

Being an event planner is so much more than crunching numbers for budgets, etiquette and making sure the table is properly set. It is about commitment and communication! It’s about advocating for your clients and making absolutely sure their vision is achieved while they enjoy the process!

Noir et Blanc is here to be apart of the high standard set in the wedding industry, and I hope that you will stick around on my journey toward a successful company! There is so much more to come!
