12.4.24 • Apple Music Replay 🔁

Apple Music only counts actual tracks, playlists, Radio stations, and albums that you listen to. So, all of the mixes that I have imported and listened to all year, are not counted at all. Otherwise, this would absolutely not be the same result lol 😂

It’s really too bad that Apple Music isn’t more intuitive than that. I have listening history turned on but it doesn’t matter at all. And my own radio station is absolutely fu**ed up with them. There is no way to reset it so that it understands what I’m listening to. Where the f**k is the AI in this app when you need it?

Anyway, check out the results from the mediocre “year in music” according to Apple Music that I’ve had.

I listen to music nearly every single day — 365/52/24/7 as a DJ and Apple Music absolutely does not capture that at all. I am so disappointed. I use both my Mac and my iPhone for listening.

I hope you guys see this.

Just a quick update!

I have joined as an alternative to both X & Facebook. I haven’t used X since Elon took over. I only use Facebook to manage my Facebook group, DJ related content, promote, provide friends & family with vague life updates & I have taken a very long hiatus from Facebook this year because I find it to be toxic, mundane, redundant, and overall negative and unhealthy.

I digress. If you’re on Bluesky, please give me a follow as I begin using this platform to share my voice with everyone and continue sharing my music, thoughts, feelings, stories, and experiences. I look forward to my life improving in 2025 because unfortunately, 2024 has been the worst year that I have ever had as an adult. And that is not counting the year that my brother died.

Thank you all for sharing in my journey as a DJ. Year 2 is in full force now and I am only looking ahead while I reflect on what I learned and experienced in year 1.

Honestly, I am struggling with Inner Thoughts. I have mixed different versions of it a couple of times now and I’m unhappy with how they’re working out. I like the first hour of the second version and after that, to me it feels like it gets lost. So, I am going to start working on it again over the holiday weekend. In the meantime, I also have to do some other work that’s due in 2 weeks.

I appreciate your patience. I am still excited about this project but I’m not going to release something that I’m not fully satisfied with. I need to get this right and I will no matter how long that takes. So, project Inner Thoughts is delayed for the moment.

Inner Thoughts, my own mix under my next series, ‘Liquid Reflections’, is dropping VERY soon 🤩

I just completed the beat grids and the hot cues for it today. So, tomorrow, I commence the mixing & recording session(s). I am pretty excited about this mix. I have put in a lot of work on this one because this mix marks the end of my first year DJing and the beginning of my 2nd year DJing. I have already accomplished so much and I truly look forward to what’s ahead for me and my DJing career in 2025 🥲🫶🏼🥁🎶

If you have not yet had the opportunity to listen to my full Guest Mix on the FlowCast Drum & Bass YouTube channel, you can now do so on my SoundCloud channel. I uploaded the lossless version of my Guest Mix to my SoundCloud over the weekend and it was released yesterday. It is pinned under my Spotlight and it is also listed under the 'Guest Mixes' playlist because that is where all of my future Guest Mixes will be uploaded to, including Eminent Domaine when it is released later this month.

It should also be noted that the Liquid Daybreak radio show was also uploaded in lossless format and that is located in the Subtle Radio playlist and pinned in Spotlight. Liquid Summer is still getting some attention, so it remains pinned in Spotlight as well.

I am so proud of myself because of how hard I have worked on learning how to play Liquid Drum & Bass over the past year. I definitely could not have done it alone though — and I am almost certain that I can speak for all artists when I say that. I have been super busy this month. I have been working on numerous projects at once. I also gained a residency with at the beginning of the month which I am super excited about! The first episode aired last Monday (10.21.24). Check out my schedule of upcoming projects in November 2024 🎹

I have been hard at work all month long on quite a few projects already and I gained a radio residency at the beginning of the month. Looking ahead at November, at the beginning of the month, which is Friday, we start the month off with my Guest Mix with on their YouTube channel at YouTube.com/ airing at 8am BST / 3am EST. This mix will also be available on my SoundCloud channel within 48 hours after it airs on FlowCast. I would prefer that most of the traffic be driven to their channel instead before I upload it. Check my SoundCloud channel Monday morning. My radio show airs on 11.18.24 at the same time and place (8 BST / 3am EST on subtleradio.com) as it always will and the playlist is 3/4 done already. Mixing should commence next week. And finally, Eminent Domaine airs in November with on which I am so looking forward to 🥰 Date & Time is coming! I will announce as soon as I know.

Keep in mind that I am also working on my own mix, Inner Thoughts, in between all of these projects, and that playlist is halfway done right now. Mixing should commence in a few weeks.
