What a day!! It was so nice to enjoy our daughter’s wedding day and not think about a single detail. Everything came together so nicely the day of the event. Jen and her staff were always steps ahead and quietly made certain every detail was taken care of and the guest had more than what they needed for an amazing celebration. Thank you!!

I don’t normally post my personal stuff on here, but today I’m asking for thoughts and prayers. I’m undergoing a major surgery this morning because of my breast cancer.

In 2007, I got my wedding invitations in these two boxes. They’re sturdy boxes, so I kept them.

Since the wedding, I neatly folded and kept every piece of tissue paper I got from wedding gifts and later baby shower gifts.

I have added to it occasionally with holiday gifts, but there is some original wedding and baby paper still in there, waiting to be sent in the next gift.

I didn’t want to keep the husband, but I kept the tissue paper and boxes! ❤️🥰

I always have extra knives after events. I recently realized they make lovely garden markers. White would be better than these clear ones, though.

Every year I put request out into the world for something I want to photograph. This year it's a backpacking elopement.

As many of you know, I've pretty big into backpacking. I've seen some amazing locations throughout the Northwest on my adventures. Every time I'm looking out over an alpine lake, I think, "This would be an epic spot for a couple to be married at."

A majority of my wedding are larger events with big guests lists. And my elopements are typically out of towners who love convenient areas, but aren't willing to brave the backcountry for a few days to get something epic.

This backpacking elopement adventure would be three days. I'm looking for a couple who are experienced in backpacking and would love to do something epic like this. Wedding attire has to be "packable" for obvious reasons. And we have to make sure you have an officiant who is equally adventurous and able to make the trip. I’m down to travel to wherever provides the best experience and setting.

I see it going down like this:
• Day One — travel and hike to an alpine lake. Scout around and find the perfect spot to exchange vows.
• Day Two — You get married, we venture and do some fun, interactive portraits, get some campfire shots, I head to my campsite, you head to yours.
• Day Three — Have some breakfast, talk about the trip, and head back to our vehicles.

I’m helping The Boxcar Room tonight with a big wedding to ring in 2024. This week, I got my certificates to serve alcohol so this will be my trial run at bartending too!!! So excited.
