Top 5️⃣ tip:

Get ahold of your preferred seamstress when you have an idea when your gown will be in to get a feel for how busy they are. Just to be sure they will have availability when needed.

Research and call a couple different seamstresses. This way you can compare prices and get a feel for the person taking care of your precious gown!

We recommend our brides to seeSeamless Boutiquee andUnder The Sun and Moon Giftss for their alteration needs! Both have worked with ALLI’S Brides in the past, they are knowledgeable on our designers and their timelines.

Top two questions I get, “When do I need to start shopping?” and “How long do dresses take to come in?”

I think, often, brides are told 12-16 months before their wedding and that is perfectly acceptable! But, if you’re a bride on a timeline, you can do it in 6-7 months if you’re motivated!

Both designers we carry, Watters and Kitty Chen are shipping in around 3-5 months. Depending on your seamstress availability and alterations your gown could be wedding ready in 6 months!

What do you think?! We would use a wedding dress calculator to determine how much your dress is worth and charge a 20% commission when the gown sells. Most used gowns are worth $600-$700.
