I’ll never forget the day my Mamma Rita told me how her grandmother Carolina used to have to work 10 hour days under the hot Roman sun working the fields for one bag of grain. Soak that in – a hard day of work for 2 kilos of wheat. And she was grateful for that…
We’ve come a long ways.
I think of her and I smile, knowing that she’s walking with me in spirit… the universe came together and is allowing me to run a family business and name it after the most loving, generous, selfless mother, my Mamma Rita ❤️❤️❤️
I wonder how she feels about her great granddaughter now turning thousands of pounds of wheat into beautiful breads every day…
