Hello, I’m Debra, the CEO of Unveiled by Debra! My team and I are dedicated to bringing our clients’ dream weddings to life. We offer a range of wedding packages and event planning services. While we call Raleigh, NC home, we’re more than happy to travel!

My ultimate goal is to ensure my clients have the most incredible, stress-free experience on their special day. I’m committed to supporting you every step of the way and providing whatever you need throughout the planning process.

Today, I will start my 14 day rest and refresh time away from social media to rest, laugh with my girlfriends, go on dates with a very special man, and watch Bridgerton. I have found that my social (in real life and on the socials) battery is in desperate need of some quiet time. I have some amazing things ahead that I am so excited about and I can’t wait to share but want to be my absolute best self walking into them and this time will help me do that.

Our industry can be mentally grueling and sometimes unkind and I have recognized that there is an opportunity to really highlight some of the challenges of a year round business with high mental demands. I read somewhere recently, that most new businesses in the wedding industry burn out in the first 5 years— that’s a statistic we should focus on changing. And I intend on doing that by highlighting seasons like this for myself. There’s no shame in saying I’m taking a break and so I encourage you to do it whether you are a vendor or a couple in the midst of planning your dream wedding.

I have 2 incredible June weddings and a July wedding I will be focused on planning and finalizing while away but will also be focused on some self care and on becoming my best Debra! I am a firm believer that the best is yet to come! So be kind to yourselves and sit down somewhere if you need to.

The ceremony is over, cocktail hour is underway, photos are all done: what next you ask: take a few moments before joining cocktail hour to be the first to see the reception space with your partner! My couoles have found this to be just as intimate as a first look because this gives you the opportunity to be the first people to see your vision in real time, uninterrupted!

2025 is closer than you think! Here is my best advice on what you should be working on if you are a 2025 couple:

1. Pinpoint your date! I would suggest picking 2-3 backup dates just in case your dream venue doesn’t have your desired date available. (trust me, having a backup option will help)

2. Find a wedding planner! I may be biased on this one but finding a planner that gets you and your wedding vision is a very high priority. Your planner will help you in the early stages to find a venue if you’re having trouble, assist in finding your dream vendor team and guide you through the wedding process!

3. Schedule engagement photos for Save the dates: this is another very important one. Once you have booked your photographer this is the best test run for you! This will give you an opportunity to get to know them, and to really get a feel of what to expect! You will not only get to know them on a better level but you’ll feel confident in their work & feel less stressed on the big day

Wedding season in full force here at Unveiled and BABYYYYY we are moving and grooving!  We have THREE amazing weddings on the calendar and we’re so thrilled to take you along for the ride.

Mary & Mike will be tying the knot at in downtown Raleigh, then we have Zanetha and Arthur’s big day at The in Cary & last but not least, Joanna and Lynerd will be saying “I Do” at The in Clayton!

Make sure you keep an eye out for our stories, you won’t want to miss a moment of these celebrations, I can promise you that!

💌 Sending out your wedding invites is one of the most exciting parts of the wedding planning process! My top 3 tips for invitations:

1. Make sure to include the link to your wedding website. This is crucial as the wedding website is how your guests will nagagative your big day!
Pro Tip: This will also decrease the number of questions you get 

2. Invites can be sent out as far in advance as possible but not later than  be sent out 10-12 weeks before the wedding day, this ensures guests will have more than enough time to RSVP, plan travel if needed & enough time for you to get an accurate final headcount for catering. (Pro tip: Virtual RSVP’s are an incredible idea. It gives your guests a reason to go into your website and see allllll of that hard work!)

3. Another big one for me, check your grammar PLEASEEE! A grammar error or misspelled is not the end of the world BUTTTTT it is avoidable! (Pro tip: Share it with your Planner, another wedding vendor, a family member or a friend!

✨To have & to hold ✨

Jen + Ethan said I do in front of 100 of their closest friends and family on March 22nd!

E had his dad as his best man and J had her mom and dad walk her down the aisle which is a beautiful representation of how important family is to them. To say these two have the most genuinely beautiful connection would be an understatement. They both work in positions that serve our community (teacher and an airman) and in return to see them commit to love, honor, and share in each moment together stole my heart. Cheers to so many beautiful moments together 🥂
