PLF's Decemberween 12: NYE liberation efforts can only be properly attained with an exciting roster of music makers to elevate the energy of the evening!

We’ve once again assembled an A Team of diverse DJs, producers, and live musicians whose sonic offerings will put a pep in your step and have you dancing all night long!

Join us in spreading this first wave of lineup announcements for that night. Much more coming very soon! Decemberween our Annual Party Liberation Foundation 501c3 (non profit) event is going to be packed full of all the music, interactive art installations, fire performance, circus arts, libation stations, lounge areas, that we can wrangle!

Toxic Moxie (RVA): this band has been winning over diverse audiences of punx, hippies, EDM kids and everyone in between with their instantly accessible brand of Dirty Disco Punk.

Bunk Buddha (Baltimore): eclectic three-piece electronic band whose output is ever evolving, and spans sounds as diverse from psychedelic bass, acid hip hop, deep/tech house, downtempo glitchy ambience, to live jamtronica.

Mr Jennings (PLF-RVA) brings a diverse blend of crunked out bass music. Glitch hop is the foundation, and variety is the spice of life. Imagine swing piano, Balkan horns, tribal percussion, and deep bass all mixed up in a cauldron and blasted through a wall of subs. The crunk must flow.

Hey Rvalution fans!

Reinhold here, I have not used this page for any promotion or events over the years. However, I thought this unique event Im working on called "VOLTAGE" warranted special mention.

Voltage is April 15th (this Saturday) at the Hofheimer Building on Broad Street - this is a special Pop Up Nightclub for ONE NIGHT ONLY! And its FREE!!!

This is also a 100% Benefit for Diversity Richmond and Party Liberation Foundation, two Non Profits that support diversity and creativity in Richmond Va. I am working with Samuel Roukin of the hit show "Turn" and "Harry Potter" Movies to make this something fun and exciting for all. Please come out if you can!!

Remembering our brother Berry West today that has passed after battling cancer. Berry was a great supporter of the electric music scene in Richmond. You could find him many nights at RVALUTION taking pictures and capturing some of the magic moments with friends and associates. I specifically remember Berry making people feel special, and welcoming all that were not just on stage but in the crowd. He was always very supportive to me and loved making new friends.

Today we honor his memory and think of his family.

This weekend we lost one of the original crew. Ian M. Graham was the original photographer and supporter of RVAlution. He was there with us from the start. IMG was there with me for so many moments and captured so many of the images of that time. Thank you buddy... miss ya!

We lost a member of the RVA Magazine family over the weekend. Ian M. Graham, writer, photographer, editor, and general raconteur at large, passed away on Sunday at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. He was 32--way too young for this world to lose such a great guy. Ian has been with the magazine…
