Before Pinterest, before TikTok, before anything else… book your venue. Your venue sets your date, guest count, and overall vibe.

Before touring venues, sit down together and write these things out:
• Estimated guest count range
• Indoor, outdoor, or both
• Ceremony and reception in one place or separate
• Budget range for the venue alone
• Preferred season or month
• Must-have amenities like parking, bridal suite, tables and chairs
• How long you want access on the wedding day
• Noise, music, or end-time restrictions
• Location convenience for guests
• Overall vibe you want elegant, modern, garden, industrial, intimate, etc.

Having this written down makes venue tours easier, keeps you from getting distracted by pretty spaces that do not fit your needs, and helps vendors guide you properly.
