Our new little baby nursery is open today 10am-5pm We have some beautiful scented geranium, strawberries, king ransom sweet pea starts, vegetable starts, blooming hellabores and peonies. We have lots of evergreens and perinatals plus some gorgeous bunches of fresh cut flowers. Come see the gardens just starting into bloom and pick up something new to inspire you.

With spring just starting in, our attention shifts from the inside of our home to the outside and the garden. The Crowley House Farm and Nursery is now open, and we would love to be a part of your garden this year. We are a small but growing nursery and cut flower farm open Thursday Friday & Saturday Closed on Sundsys and open on Mondays. Our hours are 10AM -5PM. Now that it's spring, it's time to get busy in the gardens. With warmer weather, everything is springing to life, including the weeds!!! Get out there every day, and do a little care. Otherwise, it can get out of hand quickly, and the joy of the garden then becomes work.

This week on the farm ranunculus started to bloom, sweetpeas got strung up, hellabores are at their prime in the gardens, and grape hyacinth have just pushed up out of the ground. Spring is springing, and that makes me so happy. How about you? What's new this week in your garden?

This is the time of year when we crave flowers for the home. Ranunculus, anemones, tulips, and daffodils have all started to bloom on the farm. Stop on over to grab a bouquet! Our farmstand and NEW Nursery is now open or DM to place an order.

Guess what! We are only a few short weeks away from the official start of spring! I walked the gardens the other day, coffee in hand, of course, and I'm pleased to report that little blulbs, baby starts, are pushing up,and breaking ground! This time of year is always so fun for the gardener from seeding,dreaming, and the plans you have made over the years coming true and springing to life.
I'd love to have you join me this next Saturday, March 1st, for a gardeners lunch on the farm. This will be a time of sharing your garden dreams,plans,success, and trouble shooting the failures with other like-minded gardeners.

If you're like most folks, you crave spring more than any season, and that craving starts about now when the days start to warm up, the sun comes out and then slam right back into cold winter with rain and snow. It's the swing that gets us, teasing us with just a few short days of what is just around the corner. We started pruning our roses for the year, and here are a few tips for you. We top our roses in the fall to decrease the chance of damage from winter winds, but if you haven't done that, no worries, there is always next year. February is when we here in the PNW start to prune out any dead and damaged canes.We take off any leaves left on the roses as well. After pruning I top dress with a little alfalfa and compost, making sure that im removing all the dead leaves and weeds from around the base of the rose. Sometimes, we will spray a dormant spray to help with fungal issues. If you take care now of your roses this spring, you will be rewarded with a beautiful show and a healthy rose bush.
