It has been 3 weeks since my ATV accident and surgery. I want to thank everyone including family, friends, employees and customers for the prayers and well wishes especially during the 8 days I was in the hospital in Tennessee. I was truly moved by seeing so many people commenting. I have been home recuperating and it will be a slow process. I try to do a little more everyday and even have had Anne drive me to the Bowling Center a couple of times so I could visit for a few minutes. A lot of people commented that I should not be riding an ATV at my age but this is something that Justin my grandson and me talked about doing and we had a great time up to the time I had the accident while on the tour. Thank God Justin was there for me and was able to direct the EMTS to meet us at a location while one of the workers was driving my SUV. I feel lucky to be alive and count my blessings everyday morning, noon and night. Hope to see everyone soon.

Senior Fall Winter bowling league seeks new members

The senior bowling league at MacDade Bowl, 2105 MacDade Blvd., Holmes, is looking to recruit new members.

The league bowls every Tuesday at MacDade Bowl from September through early May.

This year, the league will start on Sept. 2 at 12:15 p.m.

Summer Youth League Starts Wednesday June 18th at 7 PM. League bowls 3 games a week on Wednesdays. The cost is $10 a week for the 3 games including Shoe Rental and money towards awards and the final week Pizza Party. Still time to sign up at [email protected]
