It turned out to be a beautiful season. Come and pick a bouquet or two! Any donations are appreciated and goes to more flowers for next season!
This was a year of learning and growth. I actually had more veggies/fruit than flowers this year. I learned to can pickles and beets, thanks to my Grandmas help.
We ate fresh peaches from our trees (which has always been a dream of mine!) our apples grew too and were delicious!

Prayers are answered in more ways than one and this time I was a recipient of someone answering my prayers. I’ve mentioned it’s been a rough year getting going on the garden. Weather. Motivation. Finding my ‘why’ and really talking to God about why in the world I am doing this… because it’s a lot of work and by golly I was allowing myself to sink in my discouragement. My list was long and my heart wasn’t in it. I received a call from a lovely sister in my community (whom happens to be my cousin) and she asked if she could bring a group of young women over to help. Sure I thought, but I really didn’t know what to have them do.
I had been praying to God and told him that if I was supposed to to do this then he needed to help me figure out how to do the endless list I needed to do. I hadn’t recognized it then, but these young women completed 20+ hours of work in one hour. They were my angels. I was humbled and thanked God for answering my cry to be able to ‘get it all done.’
My challenge for you, whose angel can you be this week? I also challenge you to recognize the angels he is sending you. He listens, He answers; not always in the ways we think He will but in the way that will bless us the most.

One of my favorite things about being away… is coming home 🫣🤪 look at these beauties waiting for me! I am loving the purple center and white contrast of these dahlias. My bachelor buttons were the perfect add in and have become a favorite. (I probably say that about every flower… so do I really have a favorite!?!) They surprised me this year and reseeded from last year, although I did have to replant them where I wanted them ( instead of my walkway/gravel) they transplanted well and are thriving. Why am I telling you these things? Well, I haven’t prioritized having a garden journal yet…. So you’re about to get all the details this year so I can remember for next year. Be ready for some updates and notes as I learn and grow with my garden!

Beauty is all around us. Our perspective is what helps us find the outlook in everything. Choose to see the light. Choose to see the glass half full. It may be a slow year of blossoms for my cute little patch, but here’s a few blooms and some new additions coming soon! Not bad for a day of work with scrap wood! I can’t wait to see how this new arbor looks in the garden! Only a few more details to add and it’s finished.

I love seeing growth! I am probably the most impatient person, especially when I want something. I just want it to be beautiful and all my flowers blooming now! Growth takes time, and in every stage we must recognize the beauty of where we are at and continue to have hope in where we will be. No matter how long it takes us to get there, hope is the strength in our existence.

Well east Idaho, it’s been a slow start…a rough start… but seeds have been sewn and maybe, we’ll get some flowers this year. As Audrey Hepburn said “ To plant a garden, is to believe in tomorrow.” 🤞😍🌻

Flowers have always been one of my favorite things. I don’t think there is a room in my house that doesn’t have some kind of flower decoration. What are some of your favorite things?

Installing a watering system has been one of the BIGGEST challenges to building this garden. I've had leaks, blowouts and lots and lots of mud! I am finally to a point where it is self sufficient and can water itself (for the most part). I still have a few quirks to work out, but it is working!!!
