A question I often get is how did I go from working in production to being a Wedding and Event Planner.
I’ve been planning weddings and events for years. It’s something I genuinely love doing. For years though, I was nervous about making the career jump into doing it full-time. I think that’s because we often think the timing could be better. Next week, next year… For one reason or another…
When I was diagnosed with cancer in 2021, it humbled me and taught me that there may never be the ‘perfect time’ for anything.
So as I was going through treatment, I reevaluated what I wanted from life and started making choices to live for the ‘now’.
Thankfully, I’m in remission and looking back, I’ve found the silver lining. It was the push I needed to make that leap (and a few others).
I’m thankful for my amazing family and friends who continue to support me through this journey. I’m thankful for all the wonderful vendors, venues and couples (and their families) that I’ve worked with and will work with. & I’m thankful and excited for another year of doing what I love!
