Is there such a thing as too many candles?? We are pretty sure that answer is NO.
Today's If Pinterest Had A Pricetag is all about creating magical glowy vibes and we are here to share everything you have ever wanted to know about incorporating candles into your dreamy wedding decor.
From candle types and sizes to holders and containers, there are A LOT of options for candles.
Votive Candles: short little candles (sometimes called tealights, although true tealights are different) that burn for about 6 to 10 hours. These are perfect for adding in small pops of light and accenting other decor.
Purchase cost: under $1/candle, $2-$5/holder
Rental cost: $3-$5/each, including candle and holder
Taper Candles: tall thin candles that range in height from 10" to 18". Use the tallest heights for the biggest impact or mix heights for some visual variation. These are a great way to make centerpieces appear taller without blocking the guests' views.
Purchase cost: $1-$2.50/candle, $4-$20/holder
Rental cost: $5-$8/each, including candle and holder
Pillar Candles: big chunky candles available in a variety of heights and widths. These are best when mixed together and provide a perfect way to add visual weight to a non-floral centerpiece.
Purchase cost: $3-$10/candle, $6-$20/cylinder
Rental cost: $5-$10/each, including candle and cylinder
Floating Candles: small round candles that sit on top of water in a vessel. When used in clear cylinders, these are a great way to get height while still keeping a light and airy feel. Some venues may allow floating candles as the only candle option.
Purchase cost: $1.50-$3/candle, $6-$20/cylinder
One last note: be sure to check with your venue about their open flame policy *before* purchasing any real burning candles. Faux candles have come a long way and there are some great options that will still create that soft and cozy vibe, even if your venue doesn't allow candles!
