our story

Dahl Dance was founded in 2005 . The studio works to bring creativity and joy to Rochester by connecting people through social dance. Dahl Dance students are recognized for their social and competitive dance quality nationwide as well as their inclusive and generous spirits on the dance floor.

The owners, April and Gary, have almost 50 years of combined teaching experience and choreography. They continue to host guest teachers from around the world in all dance styles, promote social dancing opportunities throughout Rochester and donate their time to raising funds for youth arts education.

Dahl Dance co-founded the popular Dancing for the Art annual fundraiser and have partnered with almost 100 local celebrities and businesses to improve the arts community in Rochester.
