This video has been, by far, the most difficult for me. It was a huge shock, still is.
I met Max the first time in 2016. In fact, Kind Country was the first band that I ever recorded on video. It was a night I will never forget. I immediately knew these guys were gonna be famous someday, and so began my love for the band. I cant even count the number of times I have seen them play, or even recorded them over the years.
The last time I was able to see Kind Country LIVE was at Driftless Music Gardens last year. The Great Pause was new, and things were cautious, but People needed them! It was a magical show! They rocked that sacred place so hard, and filled the People with much need joy in a time of desperation.
I was honored to be there.
Sarah Gunzenhauser and I captured the Encore. Here it is for the world to enjoy.
I think we all need this in our lives.

Thank you to Soul Exposure Photography by Mandy Kellogg , Ty Helbach Photography and everyone else who shared their photos. Thanks to Driftless Music Gardens for keeping live music alive during these trying times, and especially to Kind Country for being such a driving force in the community.
Max was and will always be an inspiration to me. My thoughts go out to everyone who feels the pain of this tragic loss.
