This summer’s project for the Community Center will be repairing the front steps and ramp. They need sanding, resealing and other minor repairs. It would warm my heart if people in the community would volunteer to get this work done. I would, of course, pay for the supplies. Anyone interested? 🤞

Hello everyone! Facebook thinks we have 76 more followers suddenly, so if that’s true, welcome!

Some of you may have heard that we were selling the building to someone who intended to open a daycare, which we hoped would be an asset to the community. Unfortunately that plan has fallen through.

That means the building is still available for rentals! The reason we were interested in selling was because nothing is happening, and we want the building to be used for the good of the community. If you have any projects in mind that you need space to accomplish, please let us know. Thank you.

Hi folks - we could use some muscle at the Rock City Community Center in the next week or so. I have workmen coming on March 8th, and we need to have everything cleared away from the East wall of the basement so they can do water mitigation on that side.

Shouldn’t take very long if we have a few people helping. Message me if you can help. Thanks!

On Monday, February 13th, the Dakota United Methodist Church will host an exhibit of Dakota memorabilia from the collection of the Rock Run Historical Society. The exhibit will be open from 11am to 4pm. Explore local history!

Congratulations to Dick Meinert for winning the 1st Annual Francis Tielkemeier Memorial Euchre Tournament! He went 5-0 to decimate the competition.

Coming in last were my sister and brother-in-law, Gary and Nancy Guthrie, who won the tissue box to wipe their tears. 😂

Thanks to Sarah Judd, Tim Connors and the aforementioned Guthries for running the tournament. Another good day at the RCCC! Thanks to all who attended!

We play Stick the Dealer. If nobody makes trump, the dealer must. No misdeals unless the wrong number of cards are dealt.
