The 2018 Hunter family picnic will be at the Indian Rest Shelter at the Honenega Forest Preserve again. Mark your calendars for Saturday July 21st. We will be remembering our loved ones that have gone home to be with the Lord........Idea for some fun. Bring a recent photo of yourself and write your name and age on the back. Omg there are alot of hunter family reunion pages. I hope this one is the correct one. I was going to reserve the Lion's club at rock cut state park but it is already reserved by someone. Hopefully it's a member of our family. Maybe Mike Hunter? July 15 is coming quickly.

Hello everyone! Dan and I thought it would be a good idea to put together a menu or at least let everyone know what we are bringing to the picnic.
Meat: Chicken meat for the grill. ( I will bring utensils and spices).
Dish to pass: Potato salad
Desert: Jello Cake
I will bring plates, napkins, silver ware, wet ones, foil for the grill.
I have 4 table cloths.
Beverage: Water

We also talked about the time. Is 12:00 too early? Would 1:30 be better?
Reminder: This is a State Park so no alcohol on the property.

Hononegah Forest Preserve "Indian Rest Pavillion" has been reserved for this year's Hunter Family Reunion. Saturday, July 19th noon to sundown. Please bring your own beverages, meat and a dish to pass.

Next Saturday 7/20 gang at Hononegah Forest Preserve, shelter is called "Indian Rest" last shelter in the back of the preserve. Park is approx. 2 miles west on Hononegah rd off Hwy 251 in Roscoe, Illinois, after light at Dorr Rd, park is immediately on your left. Noon till dusk. Bring a dish to pass and your own meat if possible. Fishing, ball playing, horseshoes, available. Bring mosquitoe spray or protection, they are bad this year. Looking forward to seeing as many of my cousins as possible. Mike ps: Hunter family reunion and I believe this is our 5th or 6th year running now?

Today in the RRStar (www.rrstar.com) Harriett Johnsons obit can be found. There is a guestbook you can write in and share a memory or two. I shared 3 of her I had. Memorial svc for her to be held the day after the Family reunion and place has been changed a few times, but last I heard was Aldeen Park on Alpine in Rockford...at 1pm Sunday the 21st of July. Come to the reunion on Saturday and know for sure. Hope all are well.

Just received confirmation in the mail, the Hunter Reunion will be July 20, Saturday at noon. Hononegah Forest Preserve this year, Indian Rest shelterhouse. New electric there and more grills, close to the river and playground! Hope to see everyone!
