How long did this take? Certainly not 10 secs! Here is why it costs $$$👇🏼. Planning timeIt’s important to select the right flowers and green to match the desired palette, add texture and softness. This is also the part where I think about mechanics and cost of materials and time. I work with my client to make sure things are to their expectations and after some decisions are made, I finalize the plan. I spent about 2 hours here. Sourcing the materials From going to my local flower farm and flower wholesaler, foraging, shopping online for materials, this took about 3.5 hours. Processing-time This is the part that gets complex depending on the product. Prep took me about 2 hours. Designing time The mechanics and design time shown in this 10 sec clip took me about 4 hours from beginning to end. I knew we had limited time to execute on the day of, so I made the arch up front and added a few more flowers, greens, and installed the disco balls onsite. Total hours: 11.5 hours from beginning to end. Lots of behind the scenes work happens to execute events and build florals. It’s important to shed some light on it.
