ESB pack finished for a client

FOR SALE! I've got 2 sets of ESB gauntlets painted and ready to go. The first set I'm dubbing the "deluxe" set and feature darts & rocket. It also has a real Casio MQ-1 keypad. The right gauntlet's plug block is also correctly attached with mono jacks with the XLR cable attached to the other side. These are painted in Archive X and washed. Lastly it has a functional warm white LED that triggers from one of the alco switches. They will remain un-assembled so they can fit your arm correctly. I will include screws and velcro for you to use as needed.

The second set was painted at the same time as the deluxe set so they are as identical as they can be paint wise. However they have no darts, no rocket, no LED light, and a resin keypad. These would be more for if you already have a rocket and darts however if you'd like to pick up that set with Machinecraft parts I can do that too.

I found out some info recently that will affect the future of Seven Cat...

So if you have been following me for a while you likely know i work in a steel shed in my backyard. I used to have a shop before i got divorced, but had to leave that behind, and have been working in this small steel shed for the past 3yrs or so. Well, the landlord is likely going to be doing the entire back yard over, which includes removing the shed. The ground needs to be pitched where the shed is (this is why we get flooding there and into the basement) and the 1.5 foot high deck has some issues that the inspector found, and rather than try and fix a 20+ year old deck he wants to remove it, which makes sense. This also avoids it having to be inspected every year. All of this is great, aside from the removing of the shed because that's where i work. He is going to replace it with a very small shed to hold shovels/brooms/ladders etc in the corner of the yard. So i wont be able to work in it.

Jetpack sales are at an all time low for me as well so buying or building my own shed is out of any kind of price range i could afford and also may not be worth the cost as SO little cash is coming in. So,it's highly likely i will have to stop making the jetpacks. I cant afford a shop, we dont have a garage, and i am NOT working with fiberglass in the basement and stinking up the whole house with those fumes. There is little way to set up a proper ventilation system down there for something with this amount of fumes/ toxicity the way the basement is set up, plus i dont want flammable fumes down there as the boiler is there and the risk of a flash fire is not worth it.

What i can do is set up a "pop up canopy tent" for the summer to work in temporarily. So what i am thinking of doing is shifting to resin cast items, as the fumes are minimal and i can work in the basement to resin cast stuff. So helmets will become more on the forefront. I also want to try and do smaller resin cast items. In the warmer months i can spray paint outside for things like scout helmets. For airbrushing, since i now use water based acrylics, i can set up a small painting area with a basic ventalation system that would work fine for the little bit of fumes there would be.

So the name will go back to the standard Seven Cat Studios. Seven Cat transports will always be for jetpacks and jetpack parts. I will still make the jetpack parts since they are resin cast and resin printed. If there is interest, I may consider doing the jetpacks in resin moving forward/after the summer, though it would require a new mold. I may have to fabricate some sort of rotocasting machine as well. Even if its just hand crank for now.

So if anyone wants a fiberglass jetpack you would have to order by the end of May at the latest. I will remove them from the ETSy shop end of April. After that, i am not sure when/if i will continue with the fiberglass packs. I may possibly try and do a few every summer utilizing a tent outside, but is yet to be determined.

It was mentioned in the Etsy forums that A LOT of sellers have seen drastic and sometimes catastrophic drops in sales starting in Sept. This is when this happened to me as well. This leads me to believe the drop in sales is likely Etsy related. Someone mentioned possibly deleting listings and then re listing them to get back into the flow of what could be some new algorithm. Figured it couldnt hurt. So i deleted and relisted all of the jetpacks, and the Scout cummerbunds as they were older listings. Lets see if anything changes. Also if you have favorited any of those items you may need to re do that as the old listing are deactivated and will be deleted. Link for the shop is:

New jetpack parts molds coming out great! The shells are fantastic and saved me a bunch of rubber and now i no longer need to use rubber bands to hold everything together, so there is no chance of anything becoming slightly out of round. bad news is, I had to smash the model for the top half of the lower rocket cuz it got stuck, but that's the beauty of 3D modeled parts. When the time comes to remold i can just print it again. If that was made by hand it would completely suck that i had to do that! So..what we have here is the thruster cone, the 2 variations of the top of the upper rocket, the center ring for the upper rocket, and the top half of the lower rocket. Will do the rest of these main pieces today and then do some single sided molds tomorrow and then my freinds, i can finally start shipping some kits out. Rocket sets and thruster sets will also be available. the upper rocket is significantly smaller than my previous one and now accurately sized. the thrusters are slightly smaller as well, again, accurately sized. The upper rocket can be directly replaced on my previous kits to this one, there will also be a version to directly replace the DN upper rocket for the correct ESB/ROTJ style. Clay all done for the Sabine mold! Fiberglass shell goes on tomorrow. Thursday, it gets filled with rubber. Demold Friday and we are set to get these to you fine folks!

For those of you waiting on the Sabine helmets I am so sorry they have been taking so long. Life has been like a bag of rocks being swung at me for the past 6 months. BUT I am on it right now! Going to be finishing up the mold this week and if all goes well will start casting and shipping next week! Again I apologize for the delays with this!

Classic jetpack is 99.8% done. So ive started a new one, that lord willing i'll be able to pull off. This would be the Book of Boba fett style jetpack. I will make the "patch areas" (that shouldnt even be there, but that's for another time lol) separate to allow for standard versions for grunt and/or custom Mandos, and the Fett version. Cool thing is, this pack was likely 3D modeled, as it appears completely symmetrical unlike the classic one which has some asymmetrical stuff going on that i had to replicate. But this one being symmetrical, i only have to model half, then mirror it. VERY early stages but just figured id post it anyways...

Weather has been slowing me down with production, but i kept busy finishing up the designs and prints for the new Jetpack parts and Body(for later in the year). But the weather is warming up a little and the molds for the parts SHOULD be done in the next couple of days (assuming the tests come out ok and the rubber cures properly) So i should be making kits again very soon and filling some backlog orders from a few months ago!

This year we are going to attempt to slowly focus on only Jetpacks. Not just the Classic fett pack, but almost all packs. Canon versions and interchangeable parts to mix and match for unique custom configurations. We plan on Jango Arena, Deathwatch (Mandalorian), Din Djarin, Bo Katan, Book of Boba Fett. & eventually MS3 Deathwatch as well. We will also have the Jodo Kast rocket available this year along with other custom designed/redesigned parts that fit in universe and allow many custom configurations. Stay Tuned!

Internals of the new basic upper rocket. stainless steel pins will be included for the fins. Left is the bottom section of the upper rocket, second pic in the underside of the center section. fins with the pins just sit in a groove that holds the pins, top basiclly "sandwiches" the pins in place. Fins have a built in"washer" on either side that will have a tight tolerance so the fins stay up. Hopefully its fairly clear to see. a Premium version with a system that can be used with a servo mounted in the main body will be avaiable a little after this one is released. There will be direct DN "aftermarket"replacements available as well.

Still a work in progress... i decided to bring the Rocket and thruster models into the main body file just to see 'em all together. the final version of the Classic pack may or may not be made from a 3D printed Master. Not sure yet. But anyways, thought id show ya all!

Totally re-done Fett Jetpack thrusters! More accurate size and design! These will fit Machinecraft Replicas definitive OT greeblies perfectly! They are also marked to work with MCRs attaching method whether you just want to thread them directly into the thruster or use the metal cylinder they provide! These should be included in kits starting sometime in January! If you have a kit on order and want to wait for the new rocket and thrusters just let me know!

Fins on the new Boba Fett jetpack rocket can be built static or moveable (individually like the production pack) These should be including in the kits starting sometime in January. Later on next year i am going to attempt to make a version that can be movable via a servo or similar system mounted in the pack body. If you have a kit on order, and want to wait for the new rocket and thrusters, just let me know!
