🥂 Hii friends – I think it’s time for a reintroduction of your girl! I’m Hailey, owner and lead planner at Epoch Event Coordinating. If you’ve ever wanted to know a little more about me – here’s your chance (!!)

Sunday is my favorite day of the week because I enjoy church, time w/ family + friends, eating a great meal, & generally a day of complete relaxation. A glass of wine, summer thunderstorms, and a suspenseful book in my hand would be an ideal evening for me!

Some of my hobbies include: playing pickleball (*I’m very competitive), skiing, paddleboarding in the summer months & overnight backpacking/hiking.

My husband and I married in 2018, we are both self-employed with our dream jobs, and in between the hustle, we’re usually working on some home-improvement projects & taking care of our two fur-babies, Gus 🐶 + Remi 🐱. When we’re not home, we enjoy traveling and you bet I’m dragging my husband around to as many restaurants as possible!

I’ve always said “I just love, LOVE” and through event planning and wedding coordinating, I have the art of surrounding myself with some of life’s most beautiful moments.

When people think of a planner, they think detail-oriented and micro-organized, which is accurate, but for me, it’s more than that! Epoch Events was formed from a passion for curating and enveloping the beauty every event was destined to hold.

Oxford Languages English Dictionary defines the word epoch, pronounced /ˈepic/ as “a period of time in history or a person’s life, typically one marked by notable events or particular characteristics.” And this is exactly where the name Epoch Events derived from. Planning an event is no easy task, and I take pride in being your destination for top-tier event coordinating & wedding planning!

🌞The wedding of Trevor and Gracie was an absolute delight to coordinate! Despite the unpredictable April weather in Southern Oregon, these two fearless lovebirds didn’t let a little uncertainty dampen their spirits. From the get-go, it was evident that they were not only a power couple but also incredibly kind and considerate individuals.

Leading up to the big day, the weather played a game of cat and mouse, alternating between rain showers and bursts of sunshine. But when the morning of the wedding arrived, it was as if the heavens themselves had conspired to bless Trevor and Gracie with the perfect day. The sun shone down, illuminating the breathtaking backdrop of snow-capped mountains, turning their wedding venue into a scene straight out of a postcard from Yellowstone National Park.

Overall, Trevor and Gracie’s wedding was a beautiful fusion of love, joy, and celebration. It was an honor to be a part of such a magical day!

♥️When a passion project comes to life & it absolutely exceeds your expectations. What an honor it was to partner with some of the best vendors on the West Coast for this beautiful stylized shoot!

At its inception, the purpose of this content day was to celebrate love, but we also emphasized participation! And not only in products but in vendor interaction + networking for the entire day as well. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to each of our partnering vendors. What a day of bliss it was celebrating Pete + Niesja! It is evident these two are cherished by their family & friends, and it was the resources & skills of their people that brought together a beautiful wedding. Hosted at a private residence venue and seated on the shores of the Rogue River, this was truly a magazine-worthy setting. The week surrounding their wedding was shadowed with a blanket of wildfire smoke, the day before their wedding was doused in a rainstorm, and the day-of, the skies opened, and fresh air was swept in! With so many precious moments, this wedding was one for the books. It was a pleasure to support Pete and Niesja as they became one as husband & wife, announcing and celebrating their covenant of marriage surrounded by their family and friends. Thank you both for choosing Epoch Events to coordinate your wedding day, it was such a joy to be a part of!

🤍 Want to know one of the top 'biggest regrets' for brides & grooms? Too often we hear couples reflecting on their wedding, lamenting that they let it slip by without spending enough time with *each other*.

Here are 8 ways to spend 1:1 time together on your wedding day:

1. Spend the morning together: have coffee, breakfast, go on a walk to calm nerves, say your private vows, or spend time praying or visualizing together.

2. Before the ceremony, do a first look, first touch, pray together, read private vows or letters to each other.

3. Immediately following the ceremony: enjoy a private glass of champagne & cocktail hour snack together in a quiet space, away from guests.

4. Before guests enter into the reception space, have a private moment to look at the area, just the two of you! Take it all in and savor seeing your finished vision, untouched & perfect before it's filled and enjoyed by your guests.

5. Sweetheart table

6. Private cake cutting

7. Golden hour or sunset photos together

8. Private last dance. Such a unique way to end the night, this one is becoming more popular, however, it's important to try your best not to keep your guests waiting too long if you're doing a formal exit/sendoff.

✨ Jake + Amanda brought the party at the beautiful venue in Southern Oregon. With a large bridal party and guests ready to dance the night away, the bride and groom celebrated the start of a new chapter. This bold black & white wedding incorporated classic, elegant designs with a fun, rustic twist, making for a timeless, sophisticated look. Despite the wedding date being set for early May, not only did the weather cooperate, but it was so warm that most could have mistaken the day for a mid-summer wedding. It was a pleasure to support Jake and Amanda as they became one as husband & wife, announcing and celebrating their covenant of marriage surrounded by their family and friends. happy weekend (!!) looking to “level up”? — whether you’re wanting to improve your personal life, business goals, or relationships, don’t forget to take a rest/reset day.

I am terrible at taking time away from my day to day tasks. But one thing that has always helped me achieve more is taking a day of rest out of every week. Some weeks it comes easier than others but no matter what, it’s something I try very hard to prioritize.

And whether or not your rest day falls on a weekend day or a week day, doesn’t matter. The important piece is the fact that you’re taking time to unplug, recharge and I bet you’ll be surprised with the energy and brainpower you have when you bounce back from it.

Whether you’re preparing for an upcoming event, achieving a business goal, or just wanting to improve yourself, “level up” with some inspiration from Epoch Event’s reset guide.

🔥For couples hosting a wedding in the PNW, this time of year often yields what locals have begun to call, “the 5th season” -- a season where local wildfires are battled, and air quality is less than ideal. If your wedding day is just around the corner, and your venue is outdoors, try your best not to stress about the air quality. While yes, this is something easier said than done, unfortunately, the weather patterns and smoke density is something that no one can control. Also remember, your guests understand this, they realize the weather is out of your hands, and ultimately, they are coming to your wedding to celebrate you and your partner’s union and commitment to each other.

If you're planning an outdoor wedding and there is significant smoke in the area, it's important to prioritize the health and safety of your guests and yourself. Here are some steps you can take:

• Monitor Air Quality: Keep a close eye on air quality reports for your location. Websites and apps like AirNow (airnow.gov) provide real-time air quality information.

• Provide Protective Measures: If you decide to proceed with an outdoor wedding, consider providing N95 masks or other types of face masks to your guests. This can help protect them from inhaling smoke particles & is a polite gesture for those attending.

• Air Purification: If feasible, rent or purchase air purifiers to place around the event area. These can help improve air quality to some extent & make the environment more comfortable for guests.

• Offer Cooling Stations: Set up cooling stations with fans and water. Smoky conditions can exacerbate heat, so ensuring your guests stay hydrated and cool is important.

Your wedding is intended to be one of the most memorable moments of your life. However, if wildfires are in your area, and air quality is dangerous enough that it jeopardizes the safety of you and your guests, considering postponement is always an option. While this can be extremely disappointing, safety should always be the top priority. Epoch Events thanks all wildland firefighters and first responders, battling the wildfires across the West Coast. Thank you.
