Finding THE dress can seem like a daunting task. Follow these simple tips to help you find your dream dress!

1. Try it on! Would it surprise you to know that majority of brides go to a bridal shop looking for one kind of dress and walk out with a completely different style of dress? Why? Because what looks good in pictures online may not be the best for your body type or the theme of the wedding or it just may be plain uncomfortable to wear. So make sure you try on many different styles and not just the one you're set on. You may surprise yourself!

2. Trust your gut! Don't worry about the opinions of others too much. Yes, this is easier said than done but in the end, you're the one that has to wear the dress. So, if you aren't completely sold on the dress then go with your gut and keep looking!

3. Start early! You would hate to fall in love with a dress just to find out that it won't be shipped in time for your big day. The rule of thumb is to have the dress purchased between 8-12 months prior to the big day. This will give it time to be shipped and altered.

Most importantly, you should feel amazing in your dress and have a hard time taking it off. That's how you will know that you've found the one!

Friday and weekday weddings are becoming more and more popular lately, so here are some tips to help your Friday wedding go as smoothly as possible!

💕 give your guests plenty of notice for your wedding to ensure they can take off from work in time!

💕 don’t expect to save a ton of money (as weekdays are cheaper than weekends) but it’s great if you do!

💕 take advantage of being able to hang out and celebrate with your guests on Saturday too!

💕 of course, hire a wedding planner to help the day flow as smoothly as possible!

Wow, 2021 has been such a whirlwind with many ups and downs. I am so grateful for all of the opportunities that I have had the memories that I was able to make in 2021.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ To recap my 2021:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1. My second year in business! Whoo-hoo!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2. I became engaged⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 3. I coordinated over 20 weddings! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 4. I gained an amazing business bestie and accountability partner @wedding.event.planner.ca (You rock!)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 5. I have met some amazing wedding pros!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 6. I attended WeddingMBA for the first time in Las Vegas and it was so valuable. I was able to meet some of the wedding pros that I admire and look up to.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 7. I decided to go full-time into my business in 2021!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 8. I hosted 2 craft fairs and want to host a bunch more!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 9. Had a styled shoot published!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 10. Welcomed the birth of my niece!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I have accomplished so many things in 2021 and I cannot wait to see what's in store for 2022!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ HAPPY NEW YEAR!
