How would I introduce myself to you? I am a fairly new local to California from the beginning of 2016. My post college journey started out in a college bar in Ft. Worth, TX, but quickly moved the bustling mecca of what is known as 6th Street in Austin, TX. This uber eccentric city fueled my appetite for the liquor industry and to follow it wherever it may lead. Fast forward 10 years, I am back in my home town of Fort Worth. With the desire to start a career and leave the bar scene from behind the bar, I join the top distributor, 100 years in the business and follow the plan that lay ahead of me. After 6 years of selling to the top grossing restaurants and bars, I had sold some of the most formidable brands in the market including, Patron, Tito’s Vodka, All Beam Brands, Gallo and many more. My husband would then take me to live in downtown Chicago to meet my largest milestone yet. Start in a city in a field, where knowing everyone means everything, to not knowing a soul. To go from selling the top market brands to those I now was,many of which have zero market presence or recognition. This was where my customer service and knowledge of spirits, regardless of brand had to kick in. I survived being a rep in on one of the most competitive markets in the US! Which now brings me to here, California, my home state. I am employed by a much smaller company, a family winery as their Marketing Manager/Event Coordinator in El Dorado County.
I am here to offer you an opportunity to maximize your selection, variety and choice of local brands in the local market. With every event comes every attention to detail. Often the alcoholic portion of the event, although quite important, gets left to whatever a host/hostess can throw together last minute. We have all made that last minute rush to the grocery or liquor store.
What if someone had found deals for the best pricing and options with local wineries and breweries. What if they had done the research for you to come up with the best cocktail to fit your event and tastes? What if they even found they best quality products that didn’t have to be the most expensive?
Through my experience in designing cocktail menus for accounts, to making the drinks for friends, to knowing which brands are the best even if they aren’t the most advertised, I can design a menu custom fitted for your special event!
Where:
Currently I would like to see this model in the areas of El Dorado County or Sacramento County. Anywhere from residences, catering/banquet halls, to wedding venues or even a local bar or restaurant where they may let the customer make special product requests for their private events.
When:
I can be made available to bartend your event. I can also design your menu if you have staff members already hired. I feel this is a unique offering currently not available in our market. With that said, this is a new venture and business plan, strayed from any prior positions I have held. I ask that with all my combined experience you trust my capability to make your event a success! Why:
As I mentioned above, I do not see this as a current offering in our surrounding communities! People spend a great deal to pull off the most successful and entertaining events. Why not let someone help you take that event to the next level with a beverage menu designed specifically for you?
To give you an example:
Let’s say a Bride and Groom want to do a “His, Hers and Ours “cocktail. Let’s say that she likes gin and he likes whiskey and together they agree on Ghampagne.
I would likely provide the couple with 5 cocktail recipes for each category. Being open that they may see a cocktail they want, but want to modify it slightly. I can have each cocktail prepared for them once they have narrowed it down to ensure they are sold on the cocktails they are choosing.
Let’s take it a step further, if they want beer and wine at the event as well. The amount of local breweries popping up is increasing by the minute. No one has time to visit all these to taste and get pricing. If they were to tell me the beer styles they were looking for I could do the research for them and present them with the best narrowed down options. Same goes for local wineries currently not tied to a distributor (same goes for the beers).
I will have a customized list of brands that I will have established relationships with and hopefully provide you with best pricing available based on case quantities, etc…
The only hitch here I see is for those locations where they will only allow their selection of beer, wine and spirits. In this case, I could still help you decide what is the best of what they have to offer for your theme, brand value, quality and price.
