I don’t think people understand what a big deal it is to be the first…

The first to be honest about how much they’re hurting.

The first to break away because they know they will pay if they don’t.

The first to seek help.

The first put new words in a place that has been controlled by harmful tradition.

This is a big deal. You are a big deal.

To be the person who did it first is costly. Even when the new life produces reward, we still feel afraid to take it in, to trust what we have built is steady-here to stay.
