I’m here to clarify verbiage often used by photographers which clients interpret incorrectly! I’m big on communication so knowing these details are crucial! ​​​​​​​​​.​​​​​​​​​1️⃣ when photographers state they include “guidance” or “planning help” (pssst- this confuses people a LOT)… they are NOT signing up to be your wedding planner and be at your disposal with all details of your wedding. They are referring to PHOTOGRAPHY help or maybe a list of vendors you can call/reach out to (planners WILL have WAY more inside info on those vendors than they do just due to their level of working hours with them) Photographers have this as a courtesy, not a planning guide.
2️⃣ when photographers tell you they create your timeline, they are NOT creating your WEDDING DAY timeline, they are creating a PHOTOGRAPHY timeline. Way different things! They aren’t doing your beauty schedule, transportation schedule, vendor arrival and set up times etc and they shouldn’t be! That should never be put on them.
3️⃣ coordination (strongly recommending not using this word). They are not your day of coordinator nor should they be. You pay them to shoot photos- Not fix problems or put out small fires and when they are stuck in that role, they aren’t doing what you actually paid them to do- Create ART of your day! They WILL coordinate family photos, shot lists and all photography needs beautifully, but they shouldn’t be running your entire event nor do they want to- they want to do what they were hired to do!

My little man is 9 today! ​​​​​​​​​The world is a funnier place with him in it. Blake thinks everything is a joke. He’s sensitive and daring. Hot headed and yet so incredibly sweet with mom in particular. He never rests and is always on the go. He loves soccer and Cristiano Ronaldo is his idol. Blake is my feisty, energetic, fun loving, crazy little guy and I’m so thankful he calls me “mama”.

So many things go into selecting your ceremony location right down to the angle of the ceremony set up. Always do a venue walk-through at the time of your ceremony during the same time of year. Consult with your photographer, and most of all hire a planner who knows what they’re doing and understand lighting. It’ll save you a lot of stress and make your pictures look perfect.

I couldn’t be happier or more thankful to have her season be my off season. Saturdays are filled with basketball games and she’s definitely my favorite player. It’s astounding to me just how far you can go when you have the determination to accomplish something. She’s a huge Michael Jordan fan and loves watching Kelsey Plum in the WNBA. She is a huge fan of the SUU girls team (Dayla is her fave). Proud of her and the big goals she has. She inspires me!!

Of all the brides I’ve loved, I love her the most. From the little girl who always wanted to play with my hair, hold my hand and color with me, to a grown woman who has become a friend, role model to my children, and an ambitious business woman and WIFE! My world melted when she came to me with the news of a future engagement and it completely burst seeing her with Gabe. To say I love them just isn’t enough but it will have to suffice.
