🎬 Introducing Cosplay/er, a horror film born in cosplay culture. The movie is coming to Holiday St. Pete in search of actors, extras, and behind-the-scenes talent.
For years, slasher horror has haunted summer camps, small towns, abandoned buildings, shopping malls, high schools, and countless other settings. Meanwhile, the perfect backdrop has been hiding in plain sight: fan conventions and cosplay.
Cosplay/er is a film by the community, for the community. Produced in St. Petersburg, Florida, portions of the movie will be filmed live during St. Pete Comic Con 2027, bringing the authentic energy of a real fan convention—and real cosplayers—to the big screen.
We're looking to cast talented performers from the cosplay community, especially those with acting, performance, or theater experience. We're also seeking crew members, volunteers, and other behind-the-scenes contributors from the fan convention community to help bring the production to life.

Apply online today to register for our Casting Calls and Actor Info Sessions at Sunshine City Scare (August 15–16) and Holiday St. Pete (November 21–22). You can also sign up to be a background extra during filming at St. Pete Comic Con on April 17–18, 2027. All events will take place at the Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront.
