Chaffee County youth has an opportunity to show off their skills 🤩 All talent welcome! Aerial rig and gymnastics mats will be on-site. Following will be a bounty of F St festivities for the Salida Creative District Final First Friday Fest 🎨

Salida Arts and Culture and the Salida Creative District present the FINAL FIRST FRIDAY FEST 🥳! Come out and celebrate the end of the season with artist demos, live music, street performances and more. Kids Variety Show on the Magic Steve F St Community Stage at 5pm, then all of our favorite community artists will be out and about in the street as you visit the galleries throughout the evening! The Salida Circus, RiverTribe, Salida High School Music choir presents acoustic covers, caricatures by Naters, chalk art installations, children's activities and face painting in front of Kaleidoscope Toys. Visit the galleries and fill out a palette!

The fire show last weekend was hott!!! 🔥😅💥 Big thanks to the incredibly talented performers, Kayla and Joshua! Our local pal Elijah Wenham also jumped up to entertain the crowd with his fire skills 🙌 Let's see more unique performances happen on the community stage! ✨️

Looking forward to this delightful pair performing at Magic Steve Stage this Friday from 5-7pm! ✨️ Thanks for gracing Salida with your magic Debbie and Howie Campbell!

From Big Band swing to blues, rock and Americana, Howie has covered a lot of ground musically. His energetic strumming and tasteful fingerstyle guitar is always groove oriented and often danceable.

Accompanied by Debbie on percussion (tambourine, shakers, rain stick, hand drums and various other instruments), Howie paints musical soundscapes and sings stories. Life, love, trains, tropical beaches and other aspects of living make up his sets.

The F St community stage will be assembled and open the 2nd week of June! ☀️ Reserve it now!! You can throw your own F St block party, host performance gatherings of all ages, teach yoga classes, display visual art, and more. Put out a tip jar to collect donations during your reservation. You don't want to miss this Salida Summer Block Party! 🎷🎤💃🤸‍♀️ Come gather with fellow Salidans on the F St closure while supporting local artists and celebrating the new F St community stage. We'll dance, play games, roller skate, jump rope, create chalk art, face paint, and more!!

Looking to perform or showcase art during the party? There are 5-30 minute time slots available for performances, and there will be places to display your visual art for sale. Thank you City of Salida and BIG L❤VE to the Public Arts Commission for funding an F St community stage! 🥰
The F St stage was a collective vision to offer artists a FREE venue to perform and display artwork, as well as extend the F St closure culture to this block.
The space is available for anyone to use freely whenever it is not occupied. There is now the ability to make a reservation through the page to ensure a desired date and time. Posting signs at the stage with this information is in the works!
This was a generous gift to the arts community and gives opportunity for individuals to showcase their work and make money from their creations such as performers collecting tips and artists setting up a gallery for the day to sell their art.
Help spread the word that we have access to use this space for whatever our diverse needs may be! Some ideas for uses have been performances, busking, announcements, raffles, fundraisers, live painting, featuring artwork, showcasing skills learned from classes, and offering F St yoga and other public classes on the stage.

"Magic Steve" Kucera, a Salida Circus 🎪 and community staple, passed away on May 15th, 2022. He was extremely experienced and passionate about street performance culture, and he was excited to help pave the vision and manifestation of a community F street stage to bring a street performing aumbieance to Salida's F St closure. We know he would be giddy that it has happened!
Rest in peace and love Magic Steve! 🎩🪄
