Writing your elopement vows can feel overwhelming.
How do you sum up your love story in just a few minutes? ✍️💭

If you’re staring at a blank page and feeling the pressure to sound poetic or perfect… take a breath. Your vows don’t need to be polished or flowery—they just need to sound like you.

Write from the heart. Take your time. Be yourself.
Do that, and the words will fall perfectly into place. 💌

Save this for when you’re writing your vows—and if you need more help, drop “guide” in the comments. I’ll send you my vow-writing guide with all the tips and tricks I’ve learned (even from writing my own elopement vows).

This is what it looks like when you throw out the rulebook and follow your heart. 🎿🏔️

Bee and Nick weren’t interested in a crammed venue or big guest list. What they did want? A winter elopement that felt like them—laid-back, adventurous, and full of intention.

So they skied through fresh powder with their dog by their side. Their closest people bundled up and snowshoed into a snowy alpine meadow to witness their vows. It was quiet, magical, and wholeheartedly them.

They ended their adventure with an intimate dinner at , a cozy 28-seat cabin restaurant tucked away in the heart of Crested Butte.

These sneak peeks are just a glimpse into what’s possible when you plan a day that feels like you. More from this epic winter elopement coming soon. 🎉

If you’re dreaming of snow-covered peaks, cozy vibes, and meaningful moments in a place that still feels untouched, Crested Butte delivers through March. Think fewer crowds, wayyy more magic. ❄️🙌

So, if a snowy elopement sounds like you, would you snowshoe or ski to your ceremony?

Can I be real with you for a sec? 💁🏽‍♀️ Choosing intimacy on your wedding day isn’t selfish. It’s actually one of the most intentional, love-filled things you can do. If you’ve decided to elope, I hope no one ever makes you feel otherwise.

Cally and Justin knew they didn’t need an audience to make their day meaningful. All they wanted was to spend their wedding day—just the two of them—exploring Rocky Mountain National Park, surrounded by towering peaks, wildflowers, and the occasional elk wandering by.

From helping each other get ready to sharing their private vows in the crisp mountain air, every second of their day was filled with genuine purpose and authenticity.

As I captured every intimate moment of their unfiltered connection, I couldn’t help but feel wildly grateful for these two and their courageous hearts—fearlessly choosing to honor their love, unencumbered by the expectations of others.

C+J, thank you for celebrating your love in a way that felt right to you. Your day is the perfect reminder that weddings crafted with intention and unwavering love are incredibly meaningful. Brave. And beautiful. (And anything but selfish.) 🫶😘

Thinking of eloping in RMNP? This park is straight-up magic, but it’s also one of the busiest in the country. If you want that quiet, just-us feeling, sunrise is the way to go. The park charges a $300 wedding permit fee and only allows ceremonies at designated sites, but you’re free to take portraits anywhere as long as you follow Leave No Trace principles. And yes, you might have some unexpected (and very furry) wedding guests—RMNP is home to elk, moose, and bighorn sheep, so be prepared to share the trails.

There’s something about Garden of the Gods in the winter—it’s quieter, crisper, and somehow even more breathtaking. ❄️

It might sound wild to some, but winter is one of my favorite times to be here. Fewer crowds, moody skies, and a touch of unpredictability—one day might be 65 and sunny, the next a total whiteout. But no matter what, it’s always magic.

Lauren + Tristan felt that magic firsthand during their intimate wedding in this red rock paradise. They spent the day surrounded by their closest people, yet still found time to sneak away for quiet, just-the-two-of-them moments.

After getting ready, they shared a first look before venturing into the park, their crew by their side. Right in the heart of those towering red rocks, they promised each other forever.

One of the best things about eloping—especially in a place as stunning as Garden of the Gods—is that the landscape does all the work, allowing you to add your own personal touches, just like these two did. Lauren’s gorgeous bouquet, her cozy white fur shawl, Tristan’s cowboy hat and his boots. If you ask me, the intentional details always feel the most meaningful. 🙌

After their ceremony, L+T found a secluded nook in the rocks to exchange their heartfelt vows, letting the moment sink in, just them. A reminder that even with your favorite people present, you can still carve out time for intimacy, reflection, and the quiet kind of magic that makes intimate elopements even more special.

These sneak peeks are just a glimpse of their romantic, heartfelt day, filled with love and the golden glow of Colorado. ✨

You asked for more winter elopement inspiration—so here it is: a two-day backcountry elopement packed with adventure, spontaneity, and the kind of magic you can only find in the mountains. ❄️🏔️

Francy and James, along with their 12-year-old pup, Shelby, started before dawn, moving through the quiet wilderness under a sky full of stars. They skinned up through fresh powder as the first light touched the peaks, taking in every breathtaking view. Originally, they planned for a one-day sunrise-to-sunset elopement, but after their early morning adventure, they made a choice that perfectly captured the spirit of eloping—they slowed down, embraced the moment, and stretched their celebration into two unforgettable days.⛷️🎿

On the second day, they set out from the trailhead with their wedding attire packed safely away, carving their way through the snow until we found the perfect spot—a cozy nook tucked into the landscape—where they bravely changed into their elopement outfits. With nothing but the mountains surrounding them, they said their vows on a snow-covered hill, sealing their commitment into the crisp winter air.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, they kept moving, carving tracks into the snow before ending the night by the glow of a crackling bonfire. Wrapped in blankets, sipping whiskey, and watching the flames flicker and the stars stretch across the sky, they soaked in every last moment of their epic 2-day elopement adventure! ✨

So, what do you say? Feeling motivated to plan a badass winter elopement adventure of your own? I thought so 😉!

📌 Be sure to save this one for inspiration!

I’m not usually the one experiencing a place for the first time during my couple’s elopements, but this time was different. Allie & Andrew already knew exactly where they wanted to be—deep into Eleven Mile Canyon, a place filled with their own memories.

They booked me last minute, but the dream location was already locked in. For the first time since going full-time in 2020, I got to follow instead of lead, and honestly? It was incredible.

We scaled snowy rocks, chased golden light, and captured their love right where it already belonged. ✨️

Their elopement adventure began in the heart of their happy place—getting ready surrounded by the landscape they love. They shared the sweetest, crinkly-eyed first look before scrambling up snow-covered boulders to a spot that would forever hold their vows. 🥰⛰️

After sealing their promises, the adventure continued—winding through towering cliffs, soaking in river views, and ending with a celebration of their favorite bubbly and a slice of cake just as the sun dipped low and snowflakes began to fall. 🌨️

Eloping in a place that’s meaningful to you adds authenticity and intimacy you just can’t get anywhere else. It’s about choosing a location that holds memories, emotions, and stories you’ve shared together. Whether it’s where you got engaged, a favorite spot you love to explore, or just a place that feels right—it becomes a reflection of your story.

And the best part? It’s just yours—your adventure, your moment, your place. And that’s pretty freaking special. 🤗
Thinking about eloping somewhere meaningful to you? Whether it’s a place that holds special memories or somewhere you’ve always dreamed of, I can help you find the perfect spot. And if you’re not sure where that is yet, we can explore options that reflect what you love. 🫶

A little slice of advice for anyone tying the knot this year:

Make time to pause now and then and take it all in. ✨❤️

No matter if you’re eloping or going the traditional route, your wedding day will fly by. It’s the best kind of whirlwind—mostly because you’re having the time of your life with your favorite person. 🤗

The best tip I have for the day of your elopement is to relax and go with the flow. Truly soak in every moment and take a ‘mental picture’ (for all you Office fans out there) of the high points.

Take a second to soak in the excitement before you turn around to see your partner for the first time on your wedding day. Capture the way your heart races in that exact moment. You will want to remember the feeling that rushes through you forever. Or, after you say “I do” and seal your commitment with a kiss, take a second to look around you and enjoy the view a little longer. Soak in the view and the love surrounding you. Let those first few moments of being married sink in.

It may sound silly, cheesy even, but I promise that making time to consciously capture these sweet memories throughout your day will be worth the extra time it takes to take it all in.

So savor every second, every detail, and every sacred moment that you possibly can on your perfect day - And whatever you do—don’t blink. 😉

For those of you who’ve already tied the knot—did your day fly by too? And for those still planning, do you see the value in soaking up the moment? I’d love to hear your thoughts! 👇️😘

What if you silenced the noise, broke the rules, and put your love above everything else on your wedding day?

🚨 Spoiler alert 🚨 You’d have one HELL OF AN ADVENTURE.

Choosing to elope means choosing you. It means saying no to stress, expectations, and all the chaos of a big wedding—and yes to a day where you do whatever the hell you want. No limits. No pressure. Just pure, unapologetic joy.

Eloping isn’t just a wedding day; it’s an experience that sets your spirit free. It’s a wild, deeply personal adventure where you get to be fully present with the love of your life. And in doing so, you create the kind of core memories you’ll replay forever. Sounds pretty epic, right?

Hannah and Eli’s elopement in Crested Butte is proof of what happens when love leads the way. They ditched tradition, followed their hearts, and crafted a day that was theirs from start to finish. Here’s how it unfolded:

✨ A late afternoon hike, elopement attire packed on their backs.
✨ While Eli cast a few lines into the water, Hannah got ready by the lake with the magic touch of .
✨ A quiet, intimate first look—just the two of them, surrounded by nothing but nature.
✨ A mini-adventure to their ceremony spot, where they exchanged vows straight from the heart.
✨ More fishing (Eli even caught another one!), followed by a celebratory picnic of champs and charcuterie!
✨ Staying until dusk, then hiking back under a bright summer moon.

Honoring your heart’s wishes—especially on your wedding day—isn’t always easy. But I think Hannah and Eli would agree: the reward is an experience so soul-filling, so right, it feels like getting lost in your own perfect paradise.

So, are you ready to trade expectations for the ultimate adventure? To create a day that’s truly yours? Send me a DM, and let’s start planning your next favorite core memory. 🙌

The best part about eloping? Total freedom to create your dream day. 🙌🥰 While it’s often more affordable than a traditional wedding, it still requires some planning—starting with your budget.

I know, not the most exciting part, but it’s crucial.

Start by setting a realistic budget and think about how much wiggle room you have. Then break it down into these key categories:

🚗 Travel
🛖 Accommodations
👰🏼 Attire & Accessories
💰️ Fees (Permits, Licenses)
📸 Vendors (Your Photographer Will Likely Be Your Biggest Expense)
🎉 Post-Elopement Celebration
🍣 Food & Drinks

If you find yourselves overwhelmed by the money talk, remember there are SO many places where you can elope for free—like Garden of the Gods! This spot offers some pretty jaw-dropping scenery and wide-open, easily accessible spaces. Bonus: Mother Nature’s already done the decor for you!

Remember that your day can be as extravagant or simple as you’d like. You have the freedom to invest in whatever experiences and details mean the most to you both. ✨️

Then, once the budget’s sorted, the fun part begins: choosing where to elope! 🌏️♥️

The most important thing to remember when planning your elopement is this: everything about your day should feel like you.

For Kassi and Ross, that meant waking up before the sun to experience the pure magic of a mountaintop sunrise at 11,200 feet. It meant intentionally slowing down to fully embrace every moment—from their emotional first look to a quiet post-vow picnic. Every detail reflected who they are as a couple.

While their private morning was unforgettable, they knew their day wouldn’t be complete without sharing part of it with their favorite people. So, after their “just us” adventure, they joined 20 of their closest loved ones for an intimate ceremony filled with the kind of love that makes your heart ache (in the best way possible). 🥰

From sipping French press coffee on a cozy blanket to marveling at the stillness of the mountains, every choice they made mattered. It was a day that felt entirely theirs.

Your wedding day can feel like this too—stress-free, meaningful, and uniquely you.

And here’s the best part: you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. I’m here to guide you, to listen to your dreams, and to show you what’s possible for your wedding day.

There’s seriously nothing I love more than helping couples create a day that feels as authentic and personal as their love story.

Whether it’s sunrise on a mountaintop, a cozy ceremony with your closest people, or both, let’s make it happen—together. 🫶

The truth about winter elopements in Colorado that no one wants to admit? While the beauty is unmatched, it comes with cold, unpredictable weather—and the need to layer up so you can embrace every bit of your adventure.

Winter elopements, with snow-covered mountain peaks and frosted trees, are undeniably magical. But let’s be real—if you’re someone who isn’t a fan of the cold, they can feel a bit intimidating.

Don’t worry though! With a little prep, you can stay warm and cozy while still enjoying the winter wonderland.

Here are a few tips to help keep you comfortable and happy during your winter elopement adventures:

❄️ Four words: Adhesive hand warmers—everywhere.
❄️ Wear a pair of fleece leggings or a solid base layer to keep that warmth in. If you need outdoor gear, REI Co-op has tons of budget-friendly options!
❄️ Take breaks—and a thermos of hot cocoa, coffee, or something equally as warm!
❄️ Bundle up! Bring a blanket, mittens, scarves, and anything that fits the winter theme while keeping you cozy. Dresses and mittens can look adorable together, especially with a shawl and matching hat.
❄️ Keep your feet warm—thermal socks and waterproof boots are an absolute must, especially for snowy terrain. (For tips and boot recs, check out my ‘Guide to Wedding Hiking Boots’—the 🔗 is in my bio!)
❄️ Bring a cozy jacket or down vest to slip on when you’re not in front of the camera.
❄️ Don’t forget about your lips and face—protect them with a hydrating balm to avoid chapping.
❄️ If snow is part of your winter wedding dreams, plan for a higher elevation and aim for January through March.

If you’re dreaming of epic snow-covered landscapes and quiet, intimate moments on your elopement day, don’t let the cold hold you back. I’ve got you covered—literally. You can count on me to show up with hand warmers and my JetBoil, ready to brew something warm to keep you cozy and fueled for the adventure.

Now, who’s ready to dive into the magic of a winter wonderland elopement? 😎

Seven days into 2025, and it feels like the perfect moment to say hi to all the new faces around here!

So, for those who haven’t met me yet—hi! I’m Paige, your nature-obsessed, adventure-loving elopement photographer! 🌲📸

I moved to Colorado in 2011 from Sunnyvale, California, and have been calling this little slice of paradise home ever since.

A little over four years ago, while working in the corporate world, I had this lightbulb moment—life is way too short to not do what you love. So, I set a big goal, mapped out a plan, and haven’t looked back since. Now, every single day I get to capture love in the mountains, and honestly? I still pinch myself that this is my “job.”

It’s an incredible honor to be trusted to document couples on the most important day of their lives. Witnessing two people say ‘I do’ in a way that’s 100% them—no pressure, just pure love in the most beautiful, meaningful setting—is truly what makes this job the best thing ever.

I don’t know how I got so lucky, but I’m unbelievably grateful to all the couples who continuously remind me that I’m exactly where I’m meant to be. (Cheesy, but true!)

When I’m not behind the camera, you can find me camping, hiking, off-roading, or snowboarding with my husband, our fur babies, and my adventure crew. I’m a nature-loving extroverted introvert who’d rather spend a night under the stars than at a bar. Basically, if it’s outdoors, I’m in.

Now, I want to hear from you! Tell me something about you—whether it’s your favorite adventure spot, something that makes you smile, or what you’re most excited about in 2025.

I can’t wait to get to know you all better! ✨

The way I see it, you’ve got two choices:

You can follow the age-old wedding playbook that might lead to stress, crippling anxiety, and a “when can we get to the honeymoon?” feeling.

Or, you can write your own rulebook and design the most badass elopement adventure, filled with soul-sparking, crinkle-eyed, pinch-me moments that make you wildly grateful you chose to do things your way.

Imagine a day that starts with just you and your favorite person. You meet in nature’s playground for an emotional first look, sharing your soul’s most cherished memories and making promises that echo through the wilderness.

Just when you think your heart couldn’t get any fuller, you embark on an adventure through one of the country’s most iconic parks, hand-in-hand with the one who makes even the simplest moments feel extraordinary. Walking above the clouds, you breathe in the wild mountain air and take it all in—the memories you’re reliving and the ones you’re making.

Since this day is crafted just for you, you find a cozy spot to brew a cup of the good stuff and toast the love of your life with a cinnamon roll, because coffee, mountains, and sweet treats are an unbeatable combination. ☕️

And because no adventure is complete without your people, you invite your loved ones into the grand plan. They help you get ready, stand by your side during an intimate lakeside ceremony, and maybe even walk you down the aisle. You exchange gifts, share in laughter, and make them a part of the journey.

This isn’t just a day; it’s a beginning—a celebration of everything you’ve been, everything you are, and everything you’re becoming together. So, when you look back, it’s not about tradition, trends, or expectations. It’s about a love that’s uniquely, unapologetically yours.

Here’s to chasing a day that’s only bound by the limits of your wildest dreams. 🌄✨

If the idea of crisp mountain air, golden aspen trees, jaw-dropping views that leave you speechless, and an intimate celebration with the people who matter most sounds like your perfect day, then eloping in Colorado during the fall is exactly where you need to be. 🍂

Sydney + Marquez made that dream come to life, choosing an intimate elopement surrounded by their closest loved ones—and let me tell you, their love was absolutely contagious. It’s one thing to see a couple deeply in love, but it’s another to feel that love radiate through the people they’ve chosen to celebrate with.

When the people who know you best are right there, laughing, crying, and celebrating alongside you, it’s a clear sign you’ve made the right decision to surround yourself with the kind of love that matters most. 💛

So, if you’re torn about inviting guests, here’s a tip: only invite the people who lift you up, fill your heart, and will celebrate your love as fiercely as you do. Those are the ones who deserve a front-row seat to your adventure.

If a fall elopement in the Colorado mountains feels like the vibe you’ve been dreaming of, let’s make it happen. I’m here to help you throw out the rulebook and create a day that’s fully and unapologetically yours. 💥

Here’s the truth: you don’t need to hike endless trails and sweat through miles of incline on your elopement day to get some badass views. 🌄

Just lace up your hiking boots and take a jeep instead! 😉 That’s exactly what Sarah and Stew did, and trust me, they had zero regrets cruising up to their ceremony location in a rugged Jeep Wrangler.

Their lakeside ceremony was beautifully intimate, surrounded by loved ones who cheered them on as they said, “I do.” After signing the marriage license and making it official, they set off to continue their adventure together. With breathtaking panoramic views stretching as far as the eye could see, they took a moment to exchange their heartfelt vows in a private space that felt just right for them. 🥰

As the day unfolded, we embraced the magic of Crested Butte. Before the sun dipped below the mountains, we grabbed a few lanterns and captured their love in the golden light of sunset. It was a moment that perfectly encapsulated their journey—filled with joy, laughter, and a sense of wonder—and they didn’t even break a sweat!

So, whether you choose to hike or take a scenic drive, remember that your elopement can be anything you want it to be. It’s all about creating a day that reflects your unique love story, and I’m here to help make that happen!

What if I told you that your wedding doesn’t have to be extravagant to be extraordinary? You don’t need a grand venue, a mile-long guest list, or a day packed with traditions to create something truly special. 🥰

For couples like you—whose idea of romance doesn’t follow the movies—that’s where the magic happens.

Maybe you’ve already decided the big, traditional wedding isn’t for you. The pressure to please everyone, the overwhelming costs, the endless logistics—it’s exhausting. What you really want is a day that feels right—something intimate, real, and true to your relationship. But even eloping can come with questions: *Where should we go? How do we make it feel like “us”? Will it still be special enough?*

That’s where I come in. 👋🙋🏽‍♀️ My job is to help you cut through the noise and focus on what matters most: the two of you, your story, and the moments you’ll carry with you for a lifetime.

Yes, I’m there to capture photos, but my role goes beyond that. I’m there to keep the intentions high throughout your adventure. To help you relive your best memories while soaking in the ones you’re creating.

We’ll pause, breathe, and make space for those raw, real feelings. Like when Christian zipped his bride, Taylor, into her dress under the open sky, or when they exchanged vows on a glowing mountaintop at sunset. And when they sat back, cuddled up by a crackling fire, with a couple of cold Michelob Ultras in hand, watching the stars dance across the sky.

No distractions—just pure, unfiltered love and a day that felt like them.

So, if you’re ready to say goodbye to the overwhelm and hello to a day that’s truly yours, remember this: You don’t need a lot of “stuff” to have the most meaningful wedding day. You just need each other. That’s it. The rest? I’ll help you figure out. ✨

If there’s one thing I hope for you and your elopement, it’s that you love fiercely and wholly, celebrating every moment with intention.✨❤️

Rhyan & Andrés did just that, crafting a day that truly reflected who they are and the incredible love they share. They embraced personal touches, opting to skip the traditional white gown for a stunning velvet dress and choosing to forgo an extensive guest list and rigid itinerary. Instead, they embraced a day that allowed them to take it slow, on their own terms, exploring the gorgeous fall landscapes of Crested Butte—just the two of them, with their pups by their side.

From getting ready together in their cozy Airbnb with their fur babies as witnesses to sharing their vows against the backdrop of the most badass mountain views, every second of their adventure was filled with genuine joy. They wrapped up their celebration under a starlit sky, gathered around a cozy fire with a charcuterie board fit for royalty—truly one of the most Instagrammable scenes imaginable. 🧀🌄

They created a celebration that felt authentic and uniquely theirs—no rules, just love.

Rhyan & Andrés, thank you for inviting me to be a small part of your story and for being a shining example of the beauty that unfolds when you prioritize your own journey. ✨️
