The internet has so many CUTE wedding ideas, and it can be easy to be tempted into throwing all of them together for your big day. It can create chaos (and be way too expensive) to do this!
Instead, be intentional with the details and traditions you choose to highlight your celebration with. Your wedding day is the first representation of you and your partner as a married unit, so make sure your choices reflect that 💜💛💜💛

Motivational Monday!
People LOVE to be involved in wedding planning when it's for someone else's big day. Whether it's because they're excited for you, they're helping to finance it, or they just want to be heard... the opinions and requests just never seem to end! At the end of the day this is YOUR wedding, and you have final say. It's okay to say "no".

It can be hard to whittle down your bridal posse for some ladies, but if 4 years in bridal taught me anything it is THIS TIP. The brides who brought a big entourage almost never left with a dress or even a smile. Instead, opt to bring the closest and most important three people who you know will hype you up! You can always bring other guests to your dress pickup appointment for a grand reveal 😊

Motivational Monday!
Bridal gowns are sized WAY DIFFERENTLY than anything you have in your closet... it's easy to beat yourself up about a number, especially with our societal beauty standards. But you know what? That number on the tag inside your dress is going to mean NOTHING on your wedding day, or any day before or after! Whether you're a 00 or a 50, it's what's within your heart that counts. Stop stressing!

It's THIRSTY THURSDAY! Wedding planning got you stressed? Looking for a cocktail hour signature drink? Just need a recipe to use up all that leftover celebratory champagne? Look no further!
This week's recipe is a piece of purple heaven 💜 🍾🌿
*serves one very stressed bride, one moderately stressed wedding planner, or 2 to 3 normal people depending on how sweet a drink you like*
BLACKBERRY LAVENDER FIZZ!

-1/2 Oz Lavender syrup (I like Monin)
-1/3 oz blackberry syrup
-a handful of fresh blackberries
- your favorite champagne or prosecco
- Lavender sprig for garnish

Muddleblackberries with sugar and allow to macerate for 3 minutes. Transfer to champagne flutes and add Lavender and blackberry syrups. Fill glasses with champagne. Garnish with Lavender sprig, relax, and enjoy!

Picture this: post ceremony on the big day and you're getting family photos done before you can head to the reception. Mom says "WAIT, we can't do family photos without your uncle Bob!"
After 20 minutes of frantic searching, you find uncle Bob at the open bar, unaware that he should be in the photos. What should have taken 20 minutes total has now eaten up 40 minutes of your time from your wedding reception!
Instead of this, make sure the right people are in the right place at the right time... or hire someone like me to do it for you 😘

Happy Father's Day!
Here's my favorite photo of my dad at my wedding a few years ago (photo credit to ). This was the moment he turned around for his first look at me as a bride, and his teary eyed smile says it all! My dad is the type to always be joking or have something quick to say in big emotional situations, so I haven't seen him cry very often in my life. This was a big moment for us, and one that I treasure like no other 💙
Give your dad an extra squeeze from me today (if you're able) and I hope you have a good one 🫂

Hello, my name is Heather Alloway and I'm a professional Fairy Godmother! That's what I tell people, at least. I'm a wedding planner and coordinator, so my job is to wave my magic wand to make things happen for my clients. It's not easy, but it's so rewarding and so much fun!

*serves one very stressed bride, or one moderately stressed couple*
WATERMELON PEACH BELLINIS!
-1 cup frozen watermelon chunks
-1 cup frozen peach chunks
- juice from 1/2 a lime
- pinch of salt
- your favorite champagne or prosecco
-mint for garnish

Add the first 4 ingredients to a blender and puree until smooth. Transfer to champagne flutes and top with your favorite champagne or prosecco. Garnish with mint, relax, and enjoy!

This would be an excellent option for bridesmaids or mother of the bride/groom gifts, as many of their rings are around $50-$75.
