Our Stargate SG1 group photo op has a slight change; Lexa Doig is replacing Amanda Tapping in the group photo.

Amanda became a director & producer for a new television series pilot filming and is unavailable for Spacecon. Lexa Doig is a great replacement given she has multiple ‘space’ series on her resume.

Please welcome Lexa Doig to SPACECON this coming October 26/27th. In addition to her role on Stargate SG1, she also starred on ‘Andromeda’ for 109 episodes as “Andromeda Ascendant”.

Spacecon Cancellation

We are sad to report that Amanda Tapping can no longer attend Spacecon this October. We have however added another Stargate SG1 crew member——Lexa Doig.

If you purchased an Amanda Tapping autograph or photo op you have until Friday August 9th to make a ‘swap’ to Lexa or any other guest. After that date, we will do an automatic refund on all Amanda Tapping products.

In regards to the Stargate SG1 group photo…….Lexa Doig will be replacing Amanda in that photo op.

We are happy for Amanda as she got the tremendous opportunity to be the producer & director for a new pilot.

Here’s My Latest FAN UPDATE:

1. We are still waiting on two additional guests for the show. One is likely a MAJOR guest. That’s all I can say at this time. WE have given a deadline of August 25th—-two months prior to the show.

2. There are only two active promo codes at this time; one for a FREE admission for Kids 14 and Under (FREEKIDS) and one for a 20% discount for active and retired military veterans (HERO).

3. NOTICE: On Saturday October 26th and Sunday October 27th, doors will open at 9:00am for people with duo photo with Hayden and Ewan. These will get done early in the morning/day to accommodate demand and allow those fans with a better show experience.

4. VIP PASSES: Less than 250 remain. This pass provides early show entrance and provides access to the 200 reserved seats at all panels on a first-come, first seated basis. To get a VIP pass, go to www.SpaceconSA.com

5. SURVEY RESULTS: It was a virtual tie, so our food court will be serving both PBJ’s: peanut butter and strawberry jam and peanut butter and grape jelly. Families win!

6. NOTICE: Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen and Rosario Dawson will all be located in EXPO HALL #2 for their autographs and photo ops. You must have a PURCHASED autograph or photo op TO ENTER this building. You will be allowed in 40 minutes prior to your scheduled time. This will keep everything on schedule and allow fans to navigate between the two EXPO Halls—-which are only 200 feet apart. The sales desk is located in EXPO Hall #1 to make any day-of-event purchases.

Over the last year, the standing joke on most of my fan updates was that we would have ‘salads’ at the 2024 Superhero Comic Con this past June 20-23rd…..and we did!

Now…..I have received many food requests for…..you guessed it…..PBJ’s! It makes sense given we have many families with young children coming to SPACECON this October 25-27th.

So let the debate begin…..is it peanut butter and strawberry jam…..or peanut butter and grape jelly?

Here’s My Latest Fan Update

1. We have 43 celebrity guests already confirmed and working hard on acquiring a couple more from the Star Wars universe and/or from the world of Marvel. Tick…tick….tick!

2. The addition of Ewan McGregor has been very successful and has created great excitement with the Hayden / Ewan duo photo op. I get asked by fans quite often if they can buy that duo photo op at the actual event…..and I tell them it will most likely br sold out. The only possibility is on Sunday October 27th.

3. We added several new ‘group’ photo ops for STARGATE, STRANGE NEW WORLDS and THE MANDALORIAN. Please note that each one only has 70-80 availabilities on each day.

Also, we are working hard to have a STAR TREK: VOYAGER group photo op. It would have all seven (7) cast members attending the show. It will be a bit pricy, but will make a great photo op!

4. STAR VIP 3-DAY BADGES are 85% sold out at this time. If they sell out….you can still get the basic 3-day pass.

5. TREK or TREAT- Our Halloween event for kids on Friday night October 25th will be a fun time for kids with lots of FREE candy being given out. Kids will also get a special Trek or Treat Halloween bag to collect all the goodies we will be passing out throughout the Expo Hall.

6. STARCADE: Our free play arcade will be open all 3-days of the show and will feature STAR WARS themed video games. ……and many other fan favorites!

7. In September we will announce our Cosplay Competition for your chance to win $1,000!
