For years, I’ve captured moments through portraits and events, but I’ve always had another side—one that finds beauty in quiet, forgotten spaces through still life, scenic work, and street photography.

This series is titled ‘Hymn for the Forgotten’—a reflection on memories, loss, and the stories left behind. I hope they resonate with you in some way, and I’d love to hear thoughts in the comments.

As much as I tend to be a crisp, clean, kind of shooter, sometimes it’s fun to play with things like intentional blur, moody black and white tones, and sun flare. And if ever there was a time, this was it. Tom & Shayna were a whole…classy-goth-romantic mood, and I had a lot of fun getting creative with these two.

Side note. If you have spent any time in the wedding photography social media world recently, intentional blur has been all the talk, and all the controversy. My philosophy on this is like many other of my philosophies… do whatcha want. And as a client, don’t be afraid to ask for what you want. Your photos are for you.
