A couple of weeks ago we traversed the snow and ice to support our fellow Motherless Daughter sister as she wed the love of her life.
Paige and Diana sealed their love with a beautiful church service . Paul's Episcopal Church located in Chestnut Hill, PA.
Our group of Motherless Daughters met while on retreat during the fall of 2022. All of us lost our moms before the age of 21. Paige lost her momma Vicki when she was only 12 years old.
Not only did Vicki miss out on seeing her daughter grow up to be this talented artisan but she missed out on meeting her equally talented daughter-in-law, Diana.
For me, the overwhelming best part of their ceremony was when Diana belted out AGNUS DEI (those of you know me, know that I love the Lamb of God!) As I told her before I came back to Texas, it was as though the heavens opened and angels sang.
I have posted the link to their wedding if you want to admire the gorgeous church, no detail was spared and they truly planned the most amazing wedding to capture their involvement in their community. Ok back to Paige. Paige has known since she was 12 that so many days were going to come and go without her mom.
School milestones, graduations, honors, accomplishments and what every girl dreams of, her wedding.
The wonderful women from our retreat came together to support Paige on both the most wonderful day of her life, and a real void of missing her momma Vicki.
Regardless of whether or not we were all there in person, we were definitely all there in spirit, love and healing. From the UK to LA and all the spaces in-between.
Paige was not alone.
