North of San Diego, in the rolling hills of Escondido, magic happened. At their parents private home, Grace & Tyler had a picture perfect day filled with sunshine, warm air, excited family, and happy friends. On December 11, 2021 my awesome friend and wedding photographer Joy Portinga ( @joy_portinga ) and I were lucky enough to share a magical night with Grace & Tyson and all of their closest family members.
We started with an emotional and beautiful first-look near the entrance of the estate surrounded by sun-kissed bougainvillea, followed by family and couple portraits in the garden amongst the golden light. The ceremony was in the families converted barn/garage that is actually a gorgeous and large event space, perfect for a wedding. With stellar planning and coordination from @jooliejin the inside was draped in chiffon and floral arrangements which easily converted into the dinner space. After some fantastic toasts, speeches, and dances we capped off the night with some cake cutting and dancing.

Diana + Alfredo had such a rad and unique wedding. At the most southern part of San Diego, tucked between Imperial Beach and San Ysidiro (just north of Tijuana!) is a private ranch, rich with farm animals, training horses with views of the Mexican hillsides, undisturbed by neighbors or traffic.
Diana & Alfredo were lucky enough to have a family-owned ranch which acted as a perfect setting for their private, rustic wedding. For stark contrast, they styled the wedding with rich, modern, bold colors and decorations making it a truly unique wedding setting. Before the ceremony they did a first look and ceremony right in front of a modern, clean horse stable where their best horses reside. Both the ceremony and reception had hints of Dia de Muertos laden accented with black roses, coffin-like framing, with modern pink fluorescent lighting. After the ceremony, we walked around the ranch to find unique rustic vignettes for their bridal portraits. There is a hidden gem in downtown San Diego called The Dutra @the.dutra . This one-of-a-kind architectural dream is located in the heart of Little Italy. Walking by one might notice the tall salvaged doors, windows and walls, but inside is a clean, perfectly lit mid-century artist loft, perfect for an intimate wedding or private event. On November 4, 2021 my awesome friend and wedding photographer Joy Portinga @joy_portinga and I were lucky enough to share a magical night with Reilly & Reuben and all of their closest family members.
To catch the right vibes, local event planning group and floral designers Levant Lane @levantlane added their organic and minimalist touch with a unique creeping arch, a breathtaking tablescape with personalized settings, and mid-century plush green chairs @brighteventrentals . Before the ceremony, Reilly & Reuben did a private first look in the main room (Room D) and went upstairs to the rooftop for epic portraits facing North San Diego Bay. The ceremony was short and sweet with beautiful personal vows and right after, we explored the local area for portraits stopping at the train tracks, a local coffee shop (symbolizing their love of coffee! ☕️ ), and Waterfront Park. When the sun went down, Reilly & Reuben shared a tasty culinary experience hosted by @ChefJoann at their gorgeous full-length table where they shared tasty treats and emotional vows, followed by cake cutting and dances.
