I cannot say enough good things! We booked with Major Events & Catering in San Diego, kind of last minute, and they were so easy to work with and great at communicating with us. Bil was very professional, and made our experience seamless! Not to mention, the food and in-person service was INCREDIBLE! Seriously the nicest people, and all of the guests at our party couldn't stop talking about how good the food was! We catered via sushi chef and it was such a fun experience. Absolutely would recommend and plan on booking with them again in the future!
Weddings are officially back!!!

Bil and his crew catered our daughter's wedding recently and choosing Major Events was one of the best and easiest decisions we made. Bil's food is creative, fresh, and impressive. We chose Major Events because we wanted our guests to have an excellent meal that was expertly prepared, not ordinary food that is covered in heavy sauces to disguise its blandness.
Months later our guests still comment to us how amazing the food
was.
We also appreciated the care that Bil and his crew took of our home and property. The next morning, in the light of day, there was almost no indication that anyone had been here from a catering standpoint. Everything was completely cleaned up.
As we went through the planning process of the wedding we realized the value of having a caterer who is responsive and communicative. While we would wait days to get a response from some of our vendors, with Bil it was often a matter of minutes or hours. He would check in regularly and always had an encouraging word. He also offered helpful tips here and there that reassured us that nothing would be overlooked. That was even more appreciated since it was at our home and there are an endless number of moving parts.
Before the event Bil and Erica came out for a final walk through and made sure everything was in place.
Erica was kind and encouraging, and knowing that she was going to be there the day of to oversee the set up and service was an added comfort.
If I could offer one piece of advice to anyone planning an event, especially a wedding, it would be the importance of hiring a caterer who not only serves great food, but is also able to manage the flow of the event and coordinate with the other vendors. Bil offered us help with layout, timing, serving and overall flow, and the other vendors appreciated him because he is so fun and easy to work with.
Weddings are coming back!!!
This was a 30 guest wedding that included a conga line, flash mob dance to welcome the new couple, beer tap truck, photo booth and a ton of food and desserts!

After looking at Yelp reviews for the wedding catering, we stopped on Bill Major. I started communicating with him about the menu and it was the best experience ever to work with him. Once we finalized the menu we liked, I thought to reach out to him about the furniture for our venue. Again, he quickly responded and provided all the info I needed. Lastly, we desperately needed the day of coordinator and Bill had just the right person for us, Erica!
Erica was so great to work with. These people really made our wedding preparation experience so pleasant and stress free. I would recommend them to all my friends and hopefully we can work with them in the future again.
Erica was super responsive, sweet and knowledgeable. She handled the day of coordination like a BOSS!
The food, furniture set up, service and so much more were just over the top!
Feels great to be back at it!!

I initially booked with a different caterer many weeks prior, who abruptly cancelled on me only a week before to my event. That was when Bill came in and literally saved my event by agreeing to cater for us. From the first call, to text messages and email communications with Bill, he was always so kind, reassuring that all would go well, and super communicative. When the food items arrived, the gentleman who delivered the food kindly offered to help us with the food set up -- which was incredibly helpful on an already busy morning. On top of that, the food was AMAZING! It was the highlight of the event and all of my guests raved about it.
Bill and his team are one of a kind and I will never forget his teams' kindness and the fact that Bill agreed to cater my event on such short notice. You will not regret choosing Major Events & Catering for your next event. I cant wait for our next event together!!

We had Bill and Eric cater a Cinco de Mayo birthday party in Palm Desert last weekend and everything was perfect! Great food, cocktails and everything was setup and cleaned up just as requested. We would definitely recommend Major Events & Catering!

Bill and his crew are phenomenal!!! 5 stars isn't enough stars for this catering company. Their food was delicious, beautiful, and FRESH! Their service was outstanding and I couldn't be more greatful that I stumbled upon them for an event that I hosted. I thank Bill and his team for their great service and support creating a menu that worked for us and out event. Don't think twice Major events is the way to go!!!

"Major Events & Catering is the absolute best! I heard about them through a friend when I was planning my wedding and reached out to Bil. He was more than helpful from the get go. Any and all questioned were answered right away and he offered more help than imaginable. We kept in touch through email and he always checked in with me to see what else he could do for me, which was so sweet of him. He made sure we were happy with the pricing, which was extremely affordable considering how expensive food for 150 people can be for a wedding. The menu options were amazing we had a hard time choosing between two of them so he let us sample the food and that made it that much harder to choose. All his food was DELICIOUS! We ended up going with the California Menu with the chicken and tri-tip carving station. He customized the sides and added a few special touches for us. Once we were satisfied with our choices I still had wedding planning to do. When it came time for walk throughs at the venue Bil made it to every one and offered his services in every way. He became not only my caterer but one of my wedding coordinators as well. His ideas were so helpful and were things I hadn't thought of because of my "wedding planning brain" which can be very forgetful of small details. He offered signature drinks and all kinds of cool ideas I would have never thought of. So, as the wedding date began to approach he called or emailed me daily to make sure things were on track and that I was keeping my sanity (which was debatable). He offered so much help that it relieved a lot of stress knowing I could just call him and ask him to pick up this or call this person, any and all things I could think of he had no problem doing. The wedding day finally came after two years of planning and the day could not have gone any smoother. I was running quite a bit late (an hour or so) and Bil was keeping it together with all my restless guests eagerly awaiting my arrival. He had the bar open up early so they could at least grab a drink so everyone was a little more patient with me. I finally arrive and I have the most stage freight of anyone. And I chose to walk down the aisle by myself for some crazy reason. Well he can tell I am nervous and He knows I'm a Jameson drinker so he quickly gets me a shot, which probably saved me from dying of complete nervousness, and sends me on my way down the aisle. I'm telling you this man is amazing! Well it doesn't stop there. We had an appetizer area outside while the venue is getting turned into dinner layout... and the appetizers were delicious! Such friendly and cool staff all on top of refilling all the food and making sure my guests needs were met while I was taking pictures. My guests were truly in awe of how all this was turning out. Fast forward to dinner time and the food is spectacular!... seriously! He brings my newly husband and I a plate first and makes sure we have plenty of water and a cocktail. Our guests are served in a very timely manner and EVERYONE loves the food. I'm so happy because I really didn't want my wedding to be "the wedding with the terrible food". Which if you choose to go with this company your wedding will never be known as that! Trust me! He even packed up the left over food for us to take home. Around midnight (we had a late wedding into early hours on the AM on Halloween) he brought out a midnight snack, WINGS!!!! Who doesn't love wings while drinking and dancing?! Again, Bil's brilliant idea. Him and his team were the most amazing, enjoyable & helpful people I could not imagine my wedding without them. Especially Bil, his help was more than I could have ever asked for. He is a very friendly and talented man, and I can not thank him enough

I wish I could give Bil and his staff more than five stars!!!!! They catered my wedding as well as did all our rentals and the day ran so smoothly! I was a very forgetful bride and had to contact Bil several times! I'm sure I drove him crazy but he never showed it! He was always very prompt and extremely patient, when returning my emails and did not complain once! He is probably honestly one of the nicest people we've ever met! The day could not have been any more perfect! The little bit of food I did get to eat was only because Bil himself made my groom and I our plates!!!! Bil and his staff are amazingly supportive, thoughtful and very friendly! Everybody was great to be around! He has an AMAZING TEAM!!!!!! I got a million compliments on how amazing the food was!
I honestly cannot say enough about major events and catering! I found them on Yelp and I'm soooooooooo happy I did!!! Their prices are insane for the amazing food and all their hard work! If I wasn't a budget bride I would've totally happily paid twice what we did! They made everything soooooo easy! Even the week before the wedding when I was losing my mind, Bil was there to set me straight and put my mind at ease!
I'm so lucky to have found such an amazing team of people who actually care about our special day. Never at a single point in the 5 months of going back and forth with them did I ever feel like this was a business transaction. I mean it obviously was, but I never felt like I was a nuisance. (Although I know I was, Brides can't help it!)

All I can say is WOW...Bil was nothing short of perfection from my first email correspondence to shaking hands at the end of a fabulous party. He responding to my every question and request immediately and with enthusiasm, but that was just the beginning....
The food was outstanding and beautifully presented...the appetizer platters of cheeses, fruit and baguettes so artfully arranged and delicious! The tri tip and shrimp both perfectly prepared and served hot complimented with creamy puréed potatoes and carrots, all outstanding. Bil and his assistant James expertly cooked everything on site to taste absolutely fresh (he made it clear he hates the very idea of a microwave! ). My guests kept commenting, "where did you find him, he is so great!", totally agree, he IS!
I appreciated that Bil showed up on time and made sure the timing was spot on with beverage service, appetizers, wine pour, salad, main course, champagne pour, birthday cake plus coffee before neatly packing up a ton of leftovers for us to enjoy the next day!
Definitely call Major Events & Catering if you are looking for PROFESSIONAL service and a DELICIOUS dining experience, you won't be disappointed.
