Let’s chat about design! It’s my FAVORITE part of the wedding planning process, and I can’t wait to start sharing more behind the scenes of our design process and the amazing designs we’ve crafted for couples. 🤗
This beauty was made for an incredible planner for a wedding happening in August 2024. With a tight deadline, we had to jump into action and we whipped up this design in just 24 hours! Whew! 😅
This isn’t the norm, though. Our usual design mockups take around 20 hours ⏰ of brainstorming, searching for inspiration, and creating the digital renderings. Our mockups are no joke - they typically span 30-50 pages and feature everything from Pinterest-inspired images to custom floral sketches we make from scratch.
Those 20 hours don’t even include creating the budget for the design, in-person mockups, and the back-and-forth communication with rental and floral companies.
The entire design process can span 2-4 months, which allows us to create CUSTOM designs that perfectly capture your vision. These designs are a representation of your love story and, of course, we want them to look straight out of a magazine! 😉
Alright, now let’s dig into THIS design -
This design was created for a destination wedding on beautiful San Juan Island! Here’s the kicker: the venue has a big $10,000 fee for bringing in rentals from off the island. Yikes! 😳
So, we had to be resourceful and source rental items that could fit in the planner’s car for transporting to the venue (including all of the chandeliers!!). Luckily, there is a rental company located on the island, although their selection is limited, we were able to source the blue glassware from them! 👍
The bride LOVES florals and wanted the design to look and feel luxurious. So we created a custom floral design for her, and we loooove how they turned out! 🤍
For stationary items, such as the menu, the couple is using a watercolor designer to personalize everything! 🧑🎨
