I have a lifelong romance with healthy food. It started really young with my mom taking us shopping regularly to Trader Joes…before it was “Trader Joes”, the very first one in Laguna Beach. Growing up on tofu dogs and rice milk, my mother encouraged us to eat healthy and at home as much as possible. Self taught and mom taught, I started studying fitness and nutrition right out of high school, on m
y way to become a personal trainer. In my studies I found that there was very little information within the nutrition field and took off even deeper into my own studies on food and health. Reading, researching and testing different elimination diets on myself over the years really brought a lot of perspective. I was in an accident a few years down the line that literally pulled the carpet out from under me and put me in bed for 6 months, with over a year of rehab and learning how to walk again. Within this time of healing and introspection, not knowing what my physical abilities would be moving forward I decided to take things into my own hands, utilizing food to accelerate my healing process. I started cooking more, juicing, using food to heal from the inside out. It was in this space that I found my true passion: cooking with the intention of healing and bringing more energy back into my life. I am totally head over heals in love with the idea of getting the most out of the food that goes into your body, so that not only are you are eating healthier plant based meals, free of the things that weigh you down, but that you are thoroughly delighted with the flavors and the colors of the food you eat. I believe eating is an experience of all the senses! I am here to work with you, where you feel most comfortable, your home and where I feel most comfortable, in your kitchen! My goal as your chef is to create a healthy plant based menu that blends with your tastes and lifestyle, giving you vibrant energy, so that you can thrive!
