Monarch always feels like home. It was an honor to work with the Monarch School team to RAISE UP for Monarch. As a community we raised over 1 million dollars to support unhoused youth in San Diego. San Diego: This year marks 10 years of working with client, The Monarch School. Monarch School project nurtures resilience in unhoused youth and their families. They empower students to influence their own growth in academics and social emotional learning. And they reinforce the existing strength of families so students can thrive.

Next week is their annual fundraising event: RAISE UP for MONARCH: Raising New Heights. A new venue goes up in town and I’m usually the first one in a hard hat trying to envision something great. Grateful for a client that was all about it too!
Top Tech Awards 15th Anniversary presented by Cox Business was just that vision. Lots of hard hat tours and pivots but we did it - in a massive venue that had only been open for 3 weeks.

The Arizona Biltmore completed an 82+ Million dollar renovation during Covid. Last Monday I had a chance to walk the property and see event spaces. A beautiful renovation win!

Milestones are worth celebrating, especially after a whirlwind industry shift during a pandemic. I am personally grateful for loyal clients, partnerships, star quality vendors, and the industry as a whole, for sticking things out the last two years. We're survivors.
Humbled and grateful EVERYDAY to still be growing. On to the next.

Last week we managed a San Francisco based clients’ holiday reception — a restaurant buyout in San Diego, CA.

Having worked with them since 2013, we have data to help with registration flow, food quantities and capacity. This year we created a self registration system using Cvents “Event in a Box”. This system allowed guests to self check in on iPads and print their badge- limiting touch points, long registration times and a bottlenecked entrance. It also saved the client on staff travel costs. The registration system delivered real time analytics showing who had entered and who had yet to arrive. Because of the data tracking involved we were able to lower the clients costs by 28% on food and beverage and have an accurate account of registrants.

There is a new venue in San Diego opening in 2022 and it is S T U N N I N G. Can’t wait for a hard hat tour! It’s game time! I’ve been waiting for a new Mission Valley venue and this space it engineered perfectly for events. More to come. 🙌🏼
