I dont know about you, I AM TIRED! We work so diligently doing all the things working toward long far off visions and sometimes forgetting to be present. I am working on a very cool Halloween set and I definitely kept getting overwhelmed by the chaos. I found myself taking a break here and there during the creating process to tidy up ans give myself some breathing room visually and mentally & and I took it one step at a time. The roles I choose in my life are always care and service based.
As a coach, educator, nanny, personal assistant etc. I get to use my gift of making whole hearted connections and love (& acceptance) for our human experience a daily practice.
I have learned along the way that compassion fatigue is real and that in order for me to build up my battery and have enough spoons 🥄 to engage I MUST serve my own needs as well.
So today, I write a list, meditate, stretch and do the next right thing for myself… and who are we kidding … it’s gonna be the MATCHA 🍵:)

I was feeling the chaos in my brain and looking around at the mess in my #creatorcave
I rediscovered a cute thing I recently got from #target and gave myself permission to take a beat & organize my pens and post its. It was a sweet spot of joy, brain relief and definitely felt like the next right thing for me to do :)
Trust yourself, it’s okay to pause a little and do the little things that will push you forward! Every little step counts!

Part ✌🏼of my brief origin story.
My journey up until now has made me more tender, more empathetic and more available to each of our own individual human experiences. I deeply enjoy when I see or wear something I’ve created. I find comfort in the knowing that I poured myself into something and it mostly always feels good. And, when what I’ve created captures the headspace and turmoil I was in at that moment I give myself permission to tear it up, burn it, give it away or throw it away. I know I will create again.
Writing poetry saved my life when my mom passed away.
During Covid I was so grateful to be living with my Besty @twinkiechan who has always been a beacon of fun and creativity for the last 40 years!
And I am so proud of anytime I design and make a costume for a friend knowing that my grandma Wendleton taught me how to sew when I 10/11.
I carry all of my loved ones with me with me wherever I’m at, especially when I’m creating.
