💀𝗕𝗘𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗠𝗦!!!💀 Remembering Winchester Mystery House / 𝗨𝗡𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗘𝗗👻𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟵 Halloween 🎃
Spending 6 hours on the 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 estate last night and seeing old friends & some of the talented staff who worked with ThemeDream on 𝗨𝗻𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟵 made us get nostalgic and go through our “behind the scenes” phone camera photos & videos from the 2019 production build and cast rehearsals. This “effects demo” video is of our 🔥“fire room”🔥 sequence where a ‘half-burnt’ face fireman escorted guests through an inferno while a scare actor ‘all-burnt’ man jumps out & warns that your inevitable doom awaits!
We pushed our AV team to create a fire that looked, sounded & felt real. This scene was accomplished with artificial flame machines, flame projections, fog machines, and fire sound effects. The fireman actor told guests to cover their noses/mouths when they entered to not inhale the toxic fumes. This got the guests engaged & role playing which dramatically enhanced the realism of this immersive experience.
ThemeDream Founder Donovan Friedman showed this video in his formal presentation to the Winchester Mystery House’s Board of Directors for approval and one of the board members expressed concern that it looked “too real” and might be too scary for people. With a confused look on his face, Donovan said“Isn’t that what you hired us to do?” 😂

𝗢𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗨𝗣𝗢𝗡 𝗔 𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘
@ 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗮’𝘀 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗔𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸!
Back in July, 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝘀𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 hired ThemeDream Productions to transport 2400 of their employees and families into the world of make believe. We called this pop-up theme park for a day: 𝘚𝘢𝘮𝘴𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥.
Guests entered this fairytale experience by walking through a giant storybook. They were immediately greeted by a kooky 𝗠𝗮𝗱 𝗛𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 inviting them into the Mad Hatter’s Gift Shoppe to select a hat for his mad tea party in Wonderland! Some guests dawned crowns and tiaras to feel like royalty for the music festival at 𝘒𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘈𝘳𝘵𝘩𝘶𝘳'𝘴 𝘊𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘭𝘦. Many children selected fairy wings to fly with 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝗻 in Neverland. Other children selected wizard’s hats to feel like Harry Potter and learn magic tricks from the greatest wizard of all time 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗻. Fairytale costumed guests then took red carpet photos with 𝗖𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮 & 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝗲𝗻 before entering an enormous castle into 𝘚𝘢𝘮𝘴𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥.
A yellow brick road awaited, along with an "𝘖𝘩 𝘔𝘺!" 𝗗𝗼𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗵𝘆, inviting guests to skip along with her singing “𝘞𝘦’𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘧𝘧 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘞𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘳𝘥! 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘞𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘞𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘖𝘻!” until they were joined by the 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘄, the 𝗧𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗻 & 𝗖𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝗟𝗶𝗼𝗻 and took photos in front of the magical 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝘇!
