Come stop by The Society for Orphaned Armenian Relief (SOAR) booth at the StGregory TheIlluminator KZV Armenian School Armenian Food Festival #SanFrancisco
SOAR provides humanitarian relief to orphaned Armenian children and adults with disabilities throughout the world. Working with a trusted network of in-country Partners and a cadre of global volunteers, SOAR strives to provide this institutionalized population with the same educational and social opportunities as their non-institutionalized counterparts while simultaneously facilitating family empowerment, deinstitutionalization, and reunification.
Through their steadfast humanitarian relief efforts, SOAR strives to provide orphaned Armenians throughout the world with resources fundamental to their physical, emotional, and intellectual development. Over time, SOAR aims to provide this underprivileged population with the tools necessary to become accomplished, educated, and self-supporting Armenians.
We are unable to find the appropriate words to properly express the immense feeling of gratitude to Assessor Carmen Chu and to all those at #SanFrancisco City Hall that were instrumental in bestowing upon Father Barouyr of StGregory TheIlluminator the Certificate of Honor Award. In addition, we experienced an emotional overload when hearing you talk about what the Armenian Community of San Francisco means to you.
We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful “family” throughout San Francisco showing their support in such a magnificent way. Since we are at loss for words, it might be best to simply express our appreciation with a sincere and profound thank you.
Thank you Assessor Carmen Chu and those in the community that participated in an event that we at will treasure forever.

Inspired by her own search to find #educational and fun #toys to help #teach her #daughter her native #language of #Armenian, in 2016, Founder, Marina Kurian of Toot Hoot decided to develop the toys she had hoped to find. Toot Hoot, created with #love, #respect and admiration for all children, is a #fun and exciting way to play and learn from. No matter what type of learner or toy lover your child is, you’ll find something in this unique line that will cater to your #family’s needs and that will help deliver the results you hope for in a high quality and unique #toy. Stop by the #toothhoot booth at the #Armenianfoodfest or visit the website at www.toothoot.com and find your favorite educational toy ❤️
Khorovats (Armenian: խորոված, is a barbequed Armenian meat kebab. The meat may be marinated before grilling, but it doesn't have to be. It can be made with lamb, pork, beef, chicken, or even veal. This is generally a dish reserved for festive occasions such as #SanFrancisco’s StGregory TheIlluminator Annual Armenian Food Festival. Say hello to Hagop Koujakian @kevorksheomelian
