we love outdoor weddings. there's one thing we highly recommend when hosting a wedding outdoors: making a plan for the weather.

if it rains, can you easily move your celebration indoors? could a tent be rented?

if there is scorching heat, how will you keep your guests cool?

the weather we find ourselves up against the most is the wind. it can easily knock over bud vases, send napkins flying, carry place cards/other small signage away with the wind.

planning a wedding well means planning for any possibilities, and luckily, we have suggestions for any weather that may pop up. that's what coordinators do! 😉

take it from the professional wedding planners: planning a wedding is HARD. it eats up your time and energy, forces you to make a million little decisions, requires infinite amounts of communication, it can be a MAJOR point of stress for many reasons. add in the heaviness of everything going on in the world right now, and it can easily become difficult to even WANT to plan a wedding anymore.

some of our clients are choosing to balance the chaos with gatherings that are beautifully vibrant, culturally intertwined, and abundantly inclusive.

one of the surprisingly tough parts of planning a wedding is deciding on a palette/theme. some clients just know right off the bat, and that's great, but what if you don't?

well, we suggest getting inspired! do you just LOVE the flowers that your neighbor grows? are you drawn to certain textures or patterns? look around your house - what can you find that's in common? if you have gold silverware, gold frames, gold office supplies, maybe gold could play a part in your wedding!

it can also be a huge help to start searching on instagram, pinterest, google, etc. to see what you're drawn to. you might even surprise yourself with what you find!

listen. as canine coordinators, we love including your pups in the wedding day (swipe to see what we mean)! but sometimes, it's just not possible.

when that's the case, you can still have them be a part of the big day! one of our favorite ways we see dogs included in a wedding without actually being on-site is by displaying photos of them, and even naming a drink after them!
