For Momā„ļø
Iām back just in time for May Day! And announcing there will be dried bouquets at Chamisal Vineyard on Motherās Day weekend!
Treat mom for a day out at their beautiful vineyards, enjoy a glass of wine, and go home with some beautiful air dried blooms straight from the garden š
Happy May Day loveliesšø
Love u miss u š
Now that the ranunculus are officially (officially!!!) done and the last bouquets have left the building, my garden is in a lull! Thereās always a bit of a gap between the early spring flowers and the summer flowers for me.
Next stop: dahlias, cosmos, zinnias, oh my!
Happy Sundayš
One day late but happy first day of Spring š
The ranunculus are blooming beautifully and it makes my heart so happy to hear the birds singing, the bees buzzing, and all the signs of life in the garden. I wanted to use the nasturtium in this arrangement that hand pollinated last year. We were rewarded with beautiful variegated blooms this spring.
I hope youāre also having a beautiful start to your spring flower friendsāļø
ITS MY THIRD BIRTHDAY!!!
Well, not really. But today is the third anniversary of OAK being official!! Hereās a throwback photo to my first flower stand at The Healing Collective 3 years ago š
The past 3 years have been such a gift, Iāve learned so much about flowers, life, who I am, what it takes to run a business, and on and on and on. Thank you to everyone who has been here from the very beginning and to those just joining in on the flower fun! Running headfirst into year 4 and beyond! š¤©š„¹šš¼
Happy Valentineās Day loveliesā„ļø
Feeling spring-y š
Itās about that timeā¦.šāØ
Spring is in the air!! During the day. Itās still cold at night. And rainy. But let me live in my delulu because soon Iāll have my hands on some beautiful spring blooms š
Scampering and shroomin with CNPS in Cambria šš would highly recommend attending one of their events to learn more about California native plants!
I donāt usually spend time making a wreath for myself, but this year I had some scraps and thought āwhy notā š
Happy December flower friendsā„ļø
What a year! What a life! Sometimes I have to pinch myself thinking about this flower filled life of mine. Iām so thankful to all of you for being here and making it all possible. It feels like a day ago we were admiring the first flowers of spring and dreaming of summer weddings. And now December has settled in like a warm blanket and OAK is officially on break. Itās time to turn inwards, reflect, cozy up, and prep for next yearās flowers.
Next year is going to bring some changes and things are going to look a little different. I love weddings. I love wedding flowers. I love working with my beautiful couples as they bring their lives together into something new. I feel so blessed and honored to have been a part of so many beautiful beginnings.
But at the same time, Iāve been struggling. Struggling with chronic pain and feeling like something wasnāt āquite rightā. Iāve always been the type of person to push through, mind over matter, and Iām realizing I canāt do that anymore.
I recently received a diagnosis that confirmed what Iāve felt for years. And while Iāve been happy to finally know whatās going on, it also brings so much sadness. Sadness because it confirmed what I already knew deep down; that I have to change. That I canāt keep ignoring whatās right in front of me and I have to prioritize my health.
What does this mean for OAK? It means there will be a recentering of my business. I will not be taking any large event clients or weddings in 2024 and will be focusing more on elopements, flower subscriptions, and workshops. Iām thinking of this as an opportunity to realign my business with my values of sustainability, artistic expression, and making beautiful flowers available to more people.
I hope to see you all along this journey as we pivot into something new. Iāll be sharing more updates on my flower subscription for next year within the next couple of weeks. Thank you for being here and I canāt wait to see where this new path leads usāØ
Today we planted a Coast Live Oak tree :)
This native tree will serve several very important purposes:
1. Coast Live Oaks serves as a cornerstone for wildlife and the surrounding ecosystem, its acorns attract a wide variety of birds and butterflies - over 270 species rely on these trees for habitat and food.
2. They amend the soil over time with their own leaves and build the natural mycorrhizal fungus in the soil they need to thrive. Gradually, they become islands of natural fertility that improve the health of the nearby plants. The soil on the back of this lot is heavy clay soil that needs improving.
3. Privacy: this tree can grow anywhere from 20-70 feet tall with a wide canopy. When we first moved here there was a āhedgeā of Brazilian pink peppercorn trees. Two of the trees had to be removed leaving a large open area. Instead of planting non-native again, we decided to make a different choice.
So excited to enjoy this beautiful tree for years to come! I worked with Bunyan Bros Tree Service to plant this tree and prune some large plum trees on the property and would highly recommend working with them if you need an arborist in SLO County!
Crazy to think that this was two years ago already! Time flies, you learn a lot, and then you look back and go āwaitā¦what??ā Love seeing how far OAK has come in the past couple yearsā„ļø
This year Iāll be hosting a wreath making workshop at ! Weāll be sipping wine and making beautiful holiday wreaths. Hope to see you there š„
First day of November and Iām looking back on some 2023 wedding photos like ššš«Ø
Weāre in November which means itās āNo-vemberā for me! I like to take a light break in November after wedding season. End of year tidy up before wreath season and life gets crazy with vacations and visiting family.
Which means besides a few posts here and there I wonāt be as active on socials.
I also take time to reflect on the past year and plan how next year is going to look! And so far next year is going to look quite different! Stay tuned for OAK announcements soonāØ

Letās talk repurposing flowers š¼
Some florists are not a fan of repurposing flowers for a number of reasons. And if you decide to do it yourself after the ceremony you DO take a risk of damaging the pieces during the move. Personally, I love it and I recommend it often to my brides!
Moving flower centerpieces:
1. Lets you get more use out of those blooms. Why only use that beautiful archway for a short part of the event? If possible, move that statement piece somewhere it can be appreciated for the whole event!
2. Helps you save money. If youāre ballin on a budget (who isnāt these days!), moving floral pieces can save money instead of having multiple spaces decorated.
Make sure you talk to your florist about how to make it work for your event! Thereās a lot of thought and planning that goes into the mechanics of each piece, so youāll have to make sure that theyāre able to be moved and still look great!
In this pic the archway and aisle meadows were both moved to the sweetheart table, creating a beautiful floral impact for this special space š

heyā¦Iām 30!
A bit of a deviation from my normal posts, I donāt usually like being on the other side of the camera. But the effervescent, wonderful, and verrrryyyy talented .nadine captured these birthday pictures and there seemed like no better time to share them š„°
I feel so different inside and out compared to 1 year ago and every day feels like a new evolution and adventure. I feel more connected with myself and in true alignement than I ever have. Iām leaning into trust and intuition and I canāt wait to see where it leads, for me and for OAK šš¼āØ
ps: if youāre into the floral art Iām wearing in these pics, keep an eye out for a special announcement in the next coming weeksš¤
I love spring weddings and I love this sneak peak from for Alex and Jasonās wedding š So grateful to be a part of peopleās special day, like, what an honor and a privilege. Love it every timeā„ļø

Florals: me! I did that!
Officially wrapped up the 2022 season! Iāll be closed until January 2nd 2023.
I wanted to say thank you so much to everyone who supported OAK this year! From buying flowers and wreaths, allowing me to be a part of your wedding, or simply spreading the word, itās been a huge learning curve as my first year full time (!) and Iāve had such an amazing time learning, growing, and creating with all of you.
Hoping you all have a wonderful Christmas (or whatever you celebrate!) and looking forward to another beautiful year. See you soon!
Happy Thanksgiving to our friends, followers, community members, and all the people who have supported Oak Floral and encouraged us! This time last year we were at this great market hosted by Makeshift Muse and itās so nice to look back on the past 365 and see how things have grown and changed!
I hope that this Thanksgiving youāre able to be surrounded by love, gratitude, and good food. The past two years being isolated from our support systems has just shown how important community really is.
Itās also important to highlight that this month is Native American Heritage Month. Today is a great day to recognize the history behind this day and how colonization impacted indigenous communities. While we canāt erase the past and we should be grateful for the gifts of today, we need to uplift and recognize indigenous communities!
Some ideas on how to get involved are knowing which nations live in your area, how your local legislation helps or hinders native communities, being vocal against negative representation and stereotypes, and supporting indigenous voices. Another very relevant idea is shopping Native this Black Friday!
This Thanksgiving and Black Friday please shop local small businesses, support Native, be safe, and stay blessed!
Some beautiful details from Tina and Codyās wedding earlier this summer!

Happy fall yāall!! I missed the first day of fall so happy day two!
Here are two small wreaths at their new home (featuring the best little puglet)! The request for these wreaths were that theyāre āa little wild and differentā so we went with some non-traditional elements like blue and rosey gold tones. My favorite part about making these wreaths is that they are custom and unique for each orderš„°
Pre-orders are still live on our website! Get your pre-order in this week for an early October delivery!
itās going to be a busy busy busy couple of weeks/months! Iām not sure about you but as soon as I get busy social media posting is the last thing on my mind. Between weddings, and birthdays, and rogue rabbits and gophers eating my plants (!!) it feels like thereās not enough time in the day!
So if youāre feeling busy and overwhelmed too hereās something pretty to look at for a minute before you go and tackle your next project. hope it helps āØ
Happy Easter! Whether you celebrate or not, we hope you have a beautiful day and at least 15 chocolate eggs all for yourself.
Weāre taking the weekend off but will be back to slinging flowers first thing Monday. Stay safe everyone!
May have gone a little hog wild at annual tuber sale todayš
But i couldnāt help getting swept up in all the different varieties! Besides being gorgeous flowers, dahlia tubers are prolific and each tuber will multiply each year, giving you more and more blooms. Do you grow dahlias in your garden?
