My absolute favorite Thanksgiving dish? It’s hands down green bean casserole. Growing up, I thought cooking meant opening a bunch of cans—my mom was a single mom raising three of us, and my Mimi’s generation was all about making things quick and easy. I genuinely thought a recipe was just ‘a can of this, a can of that’ (and hey, if that’s how you cook, no judgment here!). But as a teenager, I realized you could actually make green bean casserole from scratch, and my mind was blown. I begged my family to let me do Thanksgiving dinner, all homemade. Mimi thought I was nuts—‘Who would want to do that?!’ she said—but I was hooked, and that’s a core moment where learning to cook put in my heart.

Fast forward and my green bean casserole is a staple on our Thanksgiving menu, and it’s still my favorite thing on the table! If you’re wanting an easy, delicious holiday without all the hours in the kitchen, we’ve got you covered. I’m feeling all the emotions as we launch this year’s menu, remembering how Southern with a French Twist started with a simple Thanksgiving sides menu in 2020. Back then, I didn’t know what to expect. Would anyone order? Could I even handle the rush? Fast forward to today, and I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for all the families who’ve made our dishes part of their holiday traditions year after year. ❤️

This year’s menu is all about giving you time back—so you can be a guest at your own Thanksgiving! Our sides package includes three premium sides, signature cranberry sauce, and a crisp seasonal salad. And don’t miss our a la carte goodies: cinnamon rolls, fluffy dinner rolls, biscuits & gravy, and our praline pecan pumpkin pie! There’s something for every holiday moment, from morning treats to a table full of unforgettable flavors. 🥧🍞🥗

Today I am celebrating Southern with a French Twist turning FOUR YEARS OLD! 🎂🍾

I am deeply humbled to see this dream turn four years old today. What a journey the past few years have been for me personally and professionally.

I am incredibly proud of several things this year:

🎉 I am no longer an I with SWFT but a WE! I hired my first full time employee this year. Chef Mary joined us formally in May and helped skyrocket our growth this year. She's a ROCKSTAR. In addition to Chef Mary my team of servers, event chefs, and of course the one and only Bibi Arredondo keep the wheels turning as we grow and represent our highest value of abundant hospitality to all our clients and their guests.

🎉We are at the top of the list of Austin's best high-end inflight catering providers! We knock it out of the park consistently for our client's flying private out of Austin's FBOs making it effortless to experience fine dining and entertaining in route to their next destination.

🎉We expanded our dinner party services to include elevated catering for cocktail parties, brunches, and gorgeous heavy appetizer buffets!

🎉My husband and I got to go on a dreamy international honeymoon earlier this year and the business ran without me being onsite! This was an incredible gift and accomplishment.

I am so excited to see what year five brings Southern with a French Twist. I have HUGE goals written down and I know that faith, hard work, treating people right, and continuing to provide elevated culinary gathering experiences rooted in abundant hospitality will get us there!
