A true “pinch me” moment: a welcome drinks celebration in the Old Library at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland 🇮🇪. From the moment I stepped in this space on our first site visit, I knew it was special. I love old books, and seeing the volumes on the multi-story shelves (and the incredible staircases!), and taking in all the incredible history was just amazing. To bring in our supplies, we walked through the rain in Dublin balancing florals - what an adventure! As the guests entered through the museum, getting a private showing of the Book of Kells, they were greeted with bubbly and canapés, as the string quartet played. I’ll never forget this night - it truly felt like magic.

Wesley Brave, I can’t believe you are 7 today. It’s crazy how the time flies.

I love being your dad - you are so funny, smart, kind, and have the best dance moves. I love that we wake up together every day before everyone else and get to sit and chat. You are a good son and are going to be a good man. Mom and I love you, Buddy.

Being a dad to these humans is the deepest joy of my life.

Thankful today for my dad, who has given me such a a strong example of what it means to be a husband, father, and a person of integrity. Also thankful for both of my grandpas, whose steadiness and steadfast love laid the foundation for me and my little family to thrive.

This reception space started as a backyard with a pool (and uneven surfaces)…four days later with dozens of people working hard, including a crew in scuba gear 🤿, the entire space was transformed: new flooring, a large tent, velvet draping, lush greenery and plants, and a timeless old-Hollywood-inspired design.

To bring this wedding design to life, we transformed the groom’s grandparents’ home in San Marino, California. The ceremony took place on the steps of this beautiful property - with florals lining the curved aisle and lush florals growing up the planters and over the door. I love how lush, but also natural, this space felt as the couple said their vows.

I love long feasting tables at a wedding. They are dramatic and beautiful - creating a fun design moment.

As a wedding planner, I do have one tip: instead of calling one feasting table Table 1, divide it into sections. So, if there are 5 tables pushed together, there should be 5 table numbers. This way, guests can more easily find their seats, and the catering team can easily identify which meal goes to which person.

Our team was working long before the sun came up to bring this sunrise ceremony design to life. I’ll never forget when the sun peaked up over the ocean and the spring blooms were captured in the morning light...one of my favorite moments as a designer. The lush blooms paired with the incredible, colorful attire made this Sikh ceremony one I will never forget.

Oh. My. Goodness.

Yesterday we had our first wedding of the 2024 season…and what an incredible day it was! It was pouring rain all day (our team was soaked to the bone doing the flowers). It was still raining when the guests arrived, so we had an indoor “champagne hour” with the string quartet. The moment the rain cleared, our crew removed the tarps covering the chairs, touched up the florals, and seated the guests for a beautiful ceremony with blue skies. and our whole team of vendors worked so hard and embodied our key values of peace, joy, and flexibility - everyone pivoted gracefully and ensured everything came out beautifully and seamlessly. What an adventure of a day…and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

When Katie & Sam told me they wanted a British Social Club-inspired welcome party for their wedding in Santa Barbara (with a design inspired by Katie’s dress), I was so excited! We dreamed up such a fun evening at , including a pink “social club” dress code for the guests, a print of the Queen, a watercolor painting of a British Phone Booth (and the pink retro phone guest book to accompany), and a statement bar with custom wallpaper...this is one of my favorite welcome events yet!

Spring flowers are definitely my favorite. While I love the richer colors in autumn and winter, there is something magical each year about the abundance of flowers and soft colors in spring. From singing Hallelujah (with the grand piano brought to the bluff) to the perfect sunny day and sweeping ocean view, Katie and Sam’s beautiful wedding ceremony gave me goosebumps. As a planner, one of my favorite moments is the few minutes just before the ceremony and standing with the couple, their families, and their closest friends - the hushed anticipation and energy just before walking down the aisle is always so amazing. One of my favorite designs for one of my favorite couples…I can’t believe it has been one year. Happiest of Anniversaries, Katie and Sam!

To bring this design to life, we re-carpeted the ballroom at , draped it in ivory velvet, and brought in all the olive branches (and full sized olive trees) to evoke the essence of the American Riviera.

A true highlight was having sing “Music of the Night” at the conclusion of dinner - the Phantom of the Opera is my all-time favorite musical, and hearing the longest-running Phantom sing literally brought me to tears.

There are so many incredible details from this full wedding weekend that one post barely even scratches the surface - it was truly a labor of love and a joy to bring to life. I will be sharing so much more in the coming days!

Happy Anniversary, Kacie + Robert! We loved kicking off our season last year with this elegant black and white wedding in downtown Santa Barbara. There is nothing quite like a clean black and white palette - I love that it can be modern and minimalist, but also feel timeless and sophisticated - a sometimes hard feat to accomplish. I loved the blanket of twinkle lights overhead, all the candles, the charcoal velvet sofas, the clean black and white table settings, and the surprise disco dress at the end of the night...

Always an honor to be featured on ! We loved bringing this beautiful wedding to life…and the bride’s black dress was such a fun design moment to build the entire design concept around. From the ceremony on the private lake (with an infinity view of Lake Cachuma and the mountains) to the intimate family dinner (and late night dancing) in the barn, it was an evening to remember!

This romantic garden-inspired wedding ceremony in Napa featured a custom-built arch that we had created to be reminiscent of cathedral windows. I love how it framed the couple (and I love the scale of the triple arch)…and I also love the subtle detailing in the chairs that brought the whole design together!

This Napa rehearsal dinner was so moody and romantic - guests dined under candlelit chandeliers, got to “shop for local goods” in lieu of traditional welcome bags, and got to taste amazing local wines.
