Muslim Unity Day MUD Muslim Unity Day is an event that is open to the public of both Muslim and Non-Muslim faith from across and around the Bay Area.

Muslim Unity Day was an idea that was introduced by Aamir Waheed, a local Bay Area Muslim, who believes in “a need of having a day of fun at a local amusement park, where everyone can put aside their differences and come together to have a great time and get to know each other”. It has b

een an annual event since 2005 and has been a success for individuals of all ages who enjoy a fun filled day with their friends and family. Its success in the past eight years has shown that an annual event is much needed. MUD is purely a volunteer based organization that starts the planning process six months prior to the event. The event is run and organized by young adults who were born and raised in the United States that see a need for positive changes amongst all people.

Our heartfelt thanks to the MUD attendees, retail vendors & food vendors for coming out to MUD @ Six Flags Discovery Kingdom yesterday. Approximately 1000 people attended the event. The demand for the halal food trucks continue to grow and we are aggressively working on getting different types of halal food trucks for next year.

MUD is not possible without the help of the volunteers and we would like to thank the MUD volunteers who worked diligently in making sure the event ran smoothly.

We are planning to host two MUD events in 2019 inshAllah - they will be hosted at California's Great America and Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. The details of the next MUD events will be posted on our website www.MuslimUnity.us.
